I agree with you - I only ever run subs when plinking for the coolness factor. I know some people use them for hunting, but if your shot placement isn't spot on, you could easily wound the animal. They just don't have the velocity to expand reliably when shot through a suppressed gun.dr_boogs said:

I'm just finishing up a 300 blk SBR and plan to run Barnes black tips w my suppressor for home defense.
I love the Barnes black tips. They're the only 300blk round I'll hunt with, and it's what I keep loaded in my 300blk mags for home defense. I've taken plenty of pigs and decent sized white tail with the round and never had any issues with expansion. If it'll take down a 150lb deer, I'm comfortable at shorter range it'll stop a human threat.
