Wanted to bump this thread to page 1. I picked up a Geisselle SSA trigger on a terrific sale with Primary Arms a couple of months ago. Finally had time to drop it in to my Texian custom 6.8 SPC build today. Replaced an ALG that I had put in the rifle during the original build.
In a word - outstanding. I mean holy moly. This trigger is the best AR trigger I've ever felt. It is so sweet. Can't wait to get her out to the range. If you've been thinking about going w a premium trigger for an AR build, take the plunge you will not be disappointed. I come from 1911's and the second stage on this trigger is like a really good 1911 trigger. It is so crisp. Reset is equally good. Hogs and deer are in serious trouble this fall.

It needs a better optic/mount, took the 1-4x off an AR to mess with some and it gives you more of a chin weld than a cheek weld.
Can't really decide what route to go with it though. Might just strip it off and go back to irons, I love HK rotary diopter sights and they're at the right height.
Thinking about letting my Tavor go, the 10.5" AR is the same basic size, but lighter and has a SSA-E in it so it's a much better shooter for me than the Tavor.

New build (first pistol). It's not actually finished (needs bcg), but got bored waiting the storm out this weekend. My 3 year old insisted on making it a father/daughter build just to keep things interesting. .300blk pistol that has been a really slow build.

So, I have 2 AR-15 lowers that I can't decide what to do with. One is a complete lower with a stock, and the other is stripped. I currently have the following AR's:
4.5" 9mm AR SBR (suppressed)
9" .300 BLK SBR (suppressed)
10.5" 5.56 AR
16" 5.56 AR (The wife's, its purple)
18" 5.56 AR
The 3 things that have come to mind to build are:
16" 5.56 AR for myself
A very short AR pistol with a folding "brace" adapter (probably Deadfoot Arms)
A non 5.56 AR, maybe for getting a longer range out of the platform than 5.56mm.
I don't really hunt, although I do go out and shoot pigs on occasion with friends. I also don't reload, so it needs to be commercially available ammo that isn't ridiculously priced. I don't want to buy any more AR-15 stripped lowers, so I'm only building 2 of these (or whatever else may get suggested). I do plan to build an AR-10 in .308 eventually as well.
Thoughts?

6.5 Grendel for that longner range, 16" AR build, or M16A4 clone build.

I was thinking Grendel for the non-5.56. I've never heard of 22-45, and google only brought up a 25-45 sharps when I searched it. Hadn't really considered 6.8 SPCTheVarian said:
