EDS is the new TDS. The left loses it over anything Elon does. Truest mentally unstable people.

Reputation as a genius depends on whether you toe the party line.

SBF was the most recent touted genius by the MSM.

Not really looking for their genius designation...

If it's not true, without facts, wouldn't this be slander of some sort?
This country needs to address the slander and libel laws. However, wording in any changes needs to be done carefully or the leftist progressives will bludgeon conservatives no end. The Democratic Party leadership, leftist progressives and MSM have no ethics and would distort any gaps or loop holes in revisions.
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

Don't claim you can't work or type and then tweet all day.

Twitter acquired Halli's company and he took the payout as a salary, together with a position. Per his contract, if his employment is terminated Twitter is obligated to immediately pay out the rest of what is owed for the acquisition of the company. He flawlessly goaded Elon into coming out and saying his employment was terminated after they wouldn't say it and trigger the contract terms. And being a real dick about it which wouldn't be good in court. And waiving Halli's confidentiality agreement that would've not let him talk about this publicly.

funniest thing about this interaction is how majorly and obviously elon ****ed up and had to walk it all back. his uncontrollable need to publicly dunk on employees who challenge him almost ended up costing him tens of millions in buyout and potentially more for disability discrimination

And people wonder why American companies can't compete with Asian companies, so many stupid employment laws.

This is how Elon operates and always has. It just wasn't public knowledge before he took over Twitter. He has a reputation for firing top employees and making dumb demands all the time.

"Almost" is assuming he dodged those bullets. He had to call the guy and apologize and ask him if he would please agree to be un-fired, and according to Elon (only Elon) he got an "I'll think about it."

When you compare the numbers like cost of labor, taxes, and more, they cannot compete. It's just math my dude

Well when you discover that 75% of the workforce of the business u just bought did absolutely **** all during work hours then u start to assume that was the case for almost every employee.

I can see why he jumped to that conclusion. Doesn't make it right that he made that assumption right out of the gate but I can see why he did.

And again, it wasn't just any someone, it was Iceland's Person of the Year. And this is just on the disability part, not even touching the part where Halli is contractually owed like $100m for the buyout of his company if they don't want him working there anymore.

Just so many completely unforced errors that come down to being a vindictive jerk of a boss and desperately trying to be epic on Twitter. Still, significantly less expensive than the time he tried to be epic by offering to buy Twitter for fifty-marijuana dollars a share and then was forced to actually go through with it against his will.

Quote:

Hamish McKenzie | @hamishmckenzie (Substack co-founder)

Models that give writers and creators more powers are going to win on the internet.

On Substack, writers are in charge, they own their mailing lists, and they can make more money than they could from other venues, where others reap the majority of the benefits from their work.

Today, Twitter started blocking links to Substack. We hope this action was made in error and is only temporary.

However, even if this change is not temporary, it is a reminder of why cracks are starting to show in the internet's legacy business models.

When it comes to any of the other large platforms, the rules are the same.

If writers and creators don't own their relationships with their audiences, they're not in control.

Any platform that benefits from writers' work but that doesn't give them control over their relationships will inevitably wonder how to respond to the platforms that do.

While incumbents may take actions to stymie this shift, we'll be working hard to ensure that writers and creators get only more ownership and control of their futures.

This is how the internet changes for the better.

Substack may be a small upstart, but the combined power of the writers on it is already tremendous.

If enough of us choose to play this new game, it will work, and there's nothing anyone will be able to do to stop it.
