He owns the majority of a private company. He doesn't have to have a Board. The next largest shareholder (Saudi Kingdom holding company has 16%) can't force a Board nor award board seats. No coalition to out vote Elon.

My only concern about this is that unemployment rates are much lower/job prospects better for tech workers in red states like Texas now, vs. San Fran/communist states. We also have lower hateful hammer attack rates.

I don't think existing shareholders had an option once he got the majority director vote, meaning he and his group of investors bought out everyone. Making this even less "news".
