Will never work. They could never build the brand Twitter has and gain credibility. It's like CNN+, just not that many hard core libs when the rubber meets the road. Musk would also give Twitter an edge and make it cool and fun again. I've jumped back on after more than a year of being off personally.
We may get to see. It could be that Twitter has so much first mover advantage that it can't be overcome, but if Elon succeeds here I can't imagine someone won't try it.

It would be glorious if this was Air America and CNN+ all over again.

He gets irritated and calls Musk a jackass that has no understanding of how difficult what he's trying to do is. It's enjoyable.

This is how this novel ends. Some republican effectively takes over one department of the Federal government, and the beaurocracies turn into weapons of war on both sides.

There is no reason why conservatives couldn't take over something that has a ton of power but is under the radar. EPA could turn with enough work. So could FERC. Department of Treasury could be a nightmare. So could the FTC.

You don't need to drain the swamp, you just need to weaponize one important part of government to wreck house.

With 2 years of all three branches of government, and strategic focus, you could do a lot.

Individuals can't monetize on Twitter. That needs to change. Give me a way to make money from my 50million followers and take a cut.

You also need to be able to target ads / promoted tweets much better. Let me decide who I want to see my promoted tweets. To do this well, they probably need more cross platform intelligence, which they should be able to get. I want, for example, people that posted my tweet on Facebook with whatever data you can grab from Facebook from an incoming link. The advanced ad targeting on Twitter is just freaking terrible.

Elon Musk: (Tesla)Funding was indeed secured.... Why do I not have respect for the SEC in that situation. That's because the SEC knew that funding was secured, but they pursued an active public investigation. At the time Tesla was in a precarious financial situation and I was told by the banks that if I did not settle with the SEC, the banks would cease providing working capital and Tesla would go bankrupt immediately. So that's like having a gun to your child's head. So I was forced to concede to the SEC unlawfully. Those *******s. And now it makes me look like I lied when I infact did not lie. I was forced to admit that I lied to save Tesla's life, and that is the only reason.
