Ace makes folders that aren't AR specific and allow a lot of different stocks to be mounted. Have one on an AK and like it a lot.

Also, 6.5 Grendel builds.

Kind of want to put a 12" Grendel pistol together.

I believe Eyeguy just finished building a Grendel pistol. I'd love to hear some feedback on those builds!

So.Effing.Awesome. Had to take it partly back apart to get stuff together for someone else's build as I'm waiting for their parts to get in but... can't wait to get it back together.

Jumping in the pool, here.
Purchased an 8" AR9 pistol from Palmetto, put in the paperwork for a suppressor.

Here's a question: Anyone have a SBA3 brace?

Yep. Swapped my shockwave blade for the SBA3. I like it.

Yep! I love mine. Fully extended, it's only about an inch or so shorter than the STR stock I have on my Grendel.

Recommendations for a colt style 9mm lower? Doesn't need to be fancy, it just needs to be functional. PSA hasn't had stripped colt style 9mm lowers in a long ass time. I would prefer stripped, but if the price is right then no biggie. I haven't seen a decent sale in a while either.

YHM I think is colt mag compatible.

I built this Colt pattern for Dubi using a Spikes lower.

It works well, but the mags have to be cleaned periodically.

Guess I missed that.
I bought a glock pattern 9mm from PSA.
I'm beginning to wonder what I'll have left of the original gun by the time I get all the new parts I've ordered installed on it.

I hardly ever post products that I have since I'm not a sponsor but in this case I figured the outdoors board would enjoy it.

Noveske N4 matching upper and lower, Wilson Combat 18" fluted barrel, AAC flash suppressor, Noveske hand rail, geiselle trigger, Magpul furniture, bolt doesn't have a mark but I'm assuming BCM.

So I believe it's time for another rifle/pistol or at least a new upper. Yes I know the OB will suggest all three options, plus another

Currently have a PSA 16" 5.56 midlength. Upgraded to an ALG 15" mlok handguard. Have a Giessele 2 stage trigger, Moe grip. Switch between a SOPMOD and Magpul CTR stock. MBuis sights. Switch between a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x and a Holosun ACSS red dot (sometimes with a PA 3x Magnifier.

If I go with just an upper, I think I want to go with a .223 Wylde barrel.

Pistol, thinking a 10.5-11.5 barrel. Not sure of which pistol brace.

Never been hunting, and don't have an avenue to do so. Mainly go plinking at indoor ranges. Will use for HD. Can't commit to using as a truck gun, since I work in the oilfield, and fun man toys are frowned upon having at work.

.

10.5" is more common. I have one and like it. Colt went from a 10" barrel in the XM177 to a 11.5" barrel in the XM177E2 to improve reliability and BCM also favors the 11.5" length due to more dwell time.

My next two will honestly probably be Grendel builds, both sonething in the 18-22 inch variety and a 12" pistol build.

Of the options you mentioned, the pistol is the way to go. Another upper in .223 Wylde won't really add anything for you. That said, I'd look at building in another caliber as well.

I have 2 rifles and a pistol, and I love them all. I have a 20" 6.5 Grendel that I went all out on, an 18" .223 Wylde that was a "budget" build and a 8.5" 300 blackout pistol. I am planning on building a lightweight 14.5" with a pinned and welded muzzle device in 5.56 or .223 Wylde, and plan on building at least one more upper for my pistol in a caliber that's yet to be determined.

Guy tried to trade me a 458 socom 10" upper a while back.

It'd certainly be different than the calibers you already have.
DatTallArchitect

That would be different. I am thinking about either a 6.5 Grendel or a 6.8

No doubt, but I don't have a 6.8 yet. Doesn't the powder burn up sooner in the 6.8?

I'm open to other calibers as well, but I do plan on building the upper myself. Meant to mention that earlier

Just picked up a PSA AR pistol lower with the new SBA3 brace off of their daily deal for $219.99 shipped. Not a bad deal considering the braces go for around $140 if you can find them in stock.

Plan is to build it as a .300 blackout suppressed pistol. Anyone have recommendations on a 8.5" - 10.5" barrel?

Yeah, but two words for why I did one in Grendel.

Crappy older picture but with all this talk of our fancy builds I had to pull out a KISS gun.

16" PSA dissipator set up. Midlength gas, FSB pinned up front for rifle length sight radius and to use rifle length hand guards. Magpul furniture, DD fixed 1.5 rear sight.

Yep. Don't like not having the ability to mount a light to any gun that might be a home defense gun. They're the little rail sections magpul sells that fit their moe furniture.
