I feel the same way about that as I did about Dallas going oline again... you can only go 1st round at 1 spot so often. How many draft resources are they gonna spend on the Dline? They can only play 4 of them at a time.
I'm not mad about this at all. I'd rather Philly not have 2 first rounders, but I feel like they could have done better with those picks.

Agreed. The names are sexy but the production is questionable. The Eagles have thrown a $* ton of draft picks and cap space at their front 7. And their recent investments haven't been bad, but they haven't created this unbeatable force either.

People need to chill. Jordan Davis was hurt for half the year, I'm not sure I saw 5'11" Dean play all year, Carter has been arrested in the past 3 months, and Smith is coming off a torn pec. Now I like what Carter and Smith bring the most, but let's not act like they immediately became unbeatable. Dak Prescott the turnover king last year put up 40 on them.
Dallas had a solid pick, but the Eagles are getting lots better. Wow.

Yeah, I think TE is def the pick in the 2nd.
Eagles had perhaps the luckiest path to the Super Bowl I've ever seen last year. It seemed like they either played bottom feeder teams or played teams who were really banged up. We had to play Cooper rush up in Philly.

Look... any team that has picks at 10 and 31 will come out looking like Champs. But IMO, Philly didn't win considering what they had.
Getting Bijan and Smith, as an example, would have been a home run. Instead, they spent more picks on their front 7, where they have already spent a crap ton of draft picks and cap space.
If they don't have one of the most dominant defenses of all time, they haven't done very well.

I'll just say as a closing thought for the night.... Mazi Smith was frequently drafted top 15 in the early mock drafts.
He was never considered a guy Dallas could get until sport writers got bored and started pretending guys like Bresee were better.

Trade up draft Darnell Washington…. In 5 years might be an Eric Fischer TE to RT monster.
It's easy to play chess when you have the #10 & #30 picks in this years draft along with 12 picks in 2024. You have ammunition to make moves and don't sweat having to trade a few away to pick the player(s) you like.gigem1223 said:FTAG 2000 said:
