Washington officially eliminated today at 3-10. Best possible record is 6-10 with 3 division wins. So even if the Cowboys lose out, we still have the tiebreaker. I'm still rooting for the dream of 6-10 division champs. Then if we get lucky and win the SB we finish it all at 10-10

If you finish 6-10 but make the playoffs, where are you picking in the draft?

21st. The problem with this team is not top to bottom talent, the problem is largely coaching and some holes to fill. 'Bout to be some more holes to fill after free agency opens.

The rams look so sharp in the way they execute their plays- formations, blocking, deception, route running.
While we he cowboys simply look like they stumble and gunsling and try to get by on talent alone.

You're probably better off skipping next weeks game anyway.

In reality the Rams game doesn't even matter. The Cowboys should forfeit in order to keep everyone healthy and just focus on the Philadelphia game.

Jerry is one of the best in the NFL at the business side of things

How so?

Full disclosure. I'm an Oilers/Texans fan but just curious do your opinion as why you say this?

Quote:

No single individual, with the possible exception of the last two commissioners, has done more to create the current dominance of the NFL than Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday. His vision of what the NFL could achieve was ahead of its time, with television contracts, marketing, branding, memorabilia, franchise values, the NFL Network, harmonious relations with agents and the use of the internet. His energy, creativity and willingness to challenge tradition are partly responsible for the NFL's status as the nation's favorite sport and the Cowboys' status as the highest valued sports franchise in the world.

Thanks. Good to know.

So he's the Trump of the NFL, Gets things done, makes people money and everyone hates him.
Maybe Trump as president gets thing done, but that was not his reputation as a business man.

Actually, it was.

9 bankruptcies
He's in good company then with plenty of successful people.

Abraham Lincoln - 16th president of the Unites States- twice filed bankruptcy
Ulysses S. Grant - 18th president of the United States
Thomas Jefferson - founding father, author of the Declaration of Independence, 3rd president of the United States
William McKinley - 25th president of the United States

Dave Ramsey - self-professed "get out of debt" guru
Walt Disney - as in Mickey Mouse and Disneyland
Rembrandt Haremenszoon Van Rijn - Dutch painter
P.T. Barnum - filed for bankruptcy in 1871

Mark Twain - American author
Oscar Wilde - playwright
Henry John Heinz - condiment manufacturer famous for Heinz ketchup (my personal favorite)
Milton Hershey - founder of Hershey's chocolate
Henry Ford - automobile manufacturer
J.C. Penney - founder of the department store chain

Mickey Rooney - actor
Debbie Reynolds - movie actress and hotel/casino owner
Johnny Unitas - NFL Hall of Fame quarterback
Dorothy Hamill - figure skater, Olympian
Bjorn Borg - tennis star
Jerry Lee Lewis - rock and roll star
Willie Nelson - country music legend
Larry King - talk show host

Not the gotcha some naively believe. Don't get business much, do you?

Go away Texan fan.

That sucks. But he shouldn't have missed so many field goals. I'm sure he can continue visiting kids at his next team

Don't care.

He was cut one game too late. He really destroyed momentum in the Chicago game. I can't believe it took them this long to cut him.

Quote:

Longest of long shots: Bill Belichick. Jerry Jones raised eyebrows when he shared a story about Belichick during a radio interview last month on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. After Belichick was fired when the Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore in the mid-1990s, the current Patriots head coach ran into Jones at a ski resort. Jones said Belichick told him not to forget about him if he had a coaching job available in the future. The Cowboys owner and GM then shared that he still often thinks about that interaction. Belichick has since become arguably the greatest coach in NFL history, winning six Super Bowls with the Patriots. It doesn't make much sense for him to leave everything he has built in New England, but if he's looking for a new challenge, there's no question he thinks highly of Jones and the Cowboys.

Nothing dirty about that. I'm glad he was visiting kids in the hospital and hope it brought them and him some joy. He's paid to kick field goals and wasn't good at it.

So if eagles lose both tonight and next week and Dallas somehow pulls the miracle next week and beats the rams. Do we clinch the division before week 16's matchup?

My understanding is Dallas would own all tiebreakers over Philly if they lost another divisional game other than Dallas. So yes, in theory, Dallas may know by kickoff of the Rams game whether they can clinch with a 7-9 record.

That was my understanding as well. With the way the eagles are playing, I would pick the skins to beat them in Washington next week...especially if Jeffery and Johnson are done. Realistically Dallas would only need to win 1 of its last 3 games at that point.

If Philly loses tonight, we just need to win 2 of the last 3. Philly game doesn't necessarily matter

What are the chances we beat the rams tho?

The Chicago game was the one we needed to win to put pressure on philly. Jerruh was a day late and a dollar short tho. He should've cut Maher after the bills game.

At this point, I wouldn't count on philly or Dallas winning another game. Of course one of them has to win in two weeks.
How about we clinch playoffs next week, fire Garrett and get Urban in here for a playoff run
