6-5 with a great roster and the best offensive stats in the league.

We're just not going to go anywhere with this conservative ***** as head coach.

What a rough weekend for both the Ags and Dallas. Terrible officiating in both games and some bad coaching in both. Both games "felt" similar in the pacing and the bad officiating.

Was really ticked last night and today's just a head shaker. JG gonna JG. Not mad or surprised just worthy of a heavy sigh.

Silver lining if you wanna claim one is the eagles lost too so, we still lead the division at 6-5 lol.

Based on the seeing eye test, I haven't seen Cowboys play a team this year with more talent, yet here we are at 6-5....

With that logic should we trade T. Smith, J. Smith, and Demarcus Lawrence too? None of those guys played well, and they are paid high at their positions. They also lost to "backups."

I don't think anyone is in love with the idea of paying Dak elite money...but where is the alternative? He leads the league in so many categories. Is your alternative plan better than that?

Jerry will go on the fan tomorrow and remind everyone that they're still in first and how they've been within a score so Jason is doing a great job

Also, I wonder if the joke is on us fans. The team sits here at 6-5. Yet many people crowned them as "the most talented Dallas team since the super bowl teams." This is where our anguish comes from. I am guilty of buying the hype. Gave it up after the GB game. We are just a mediocre team that happens to lead a dysfunctional division.

So long as the fans line Jerry's pockets the joke is on us

I'm pretty sure the Browns sell out every game. Fans showing up for games means little in big markets. They all make millions regardless of record.

Before the Viking game, I felt the Cowboys were not going to make the playoffs. I had them dropping the Viking, Patriot, and Eagle games. This would put them at 10-6. If Philly wins out (which is highly likely), Philly would also be 10-6 and advance to the playoffs based on the third tie breaker: win percentage against common opponents. I always thought the third tie breaker was conference record which the Cowboys in this scenario would have the edge.

I'm now not even convinced the Cowboys will only lose the game against the Eagles. I hope I'm wrong, and the Cowboys if they have to lose one, drop one to the Bills, Rams, or Bears. Then they take care of business at Lincoln Financial on December 22nd.

At this point, perhaps it is better for this underachieving team to not make the playoffs and show Garrett the door. What a disaster of a season! But I keep hoping I'm wrong, and they make a run.

In my opinion, worst case scenario is we limp into the playoffs and win in the wild card round and then lose in the divisional round. That would probably be enough to keep JG around and totally waste the prime of all our key players.

I either want them to make a legitimate run at a Super Bowl or crash and burn hard so that we get rid of JG and finally STOP living in mediocrity.

No way. If JG doesn't win the NFC he's out I think.

Lots of talk about JG and his "path to the Giants" and such. Jerry did seem a bit unhappy after the game...

Let him go make that organization even worse (if that's possible)

With Daniel Jones? Ok

Garrett and Jones would be a perfect QB duo though ( for each other). Both Ivy League guys.

As stated, my alternative plan would be to do the following:

Fire JG and leave the special teams coach stranded on a deserted island.
Franchise Dak. Sign Cooper if he's willing to be reasonable.
See if a new HC and Dak can lead one of the most talented rosters to a worthy record and playoff run.

If yes, pay him. If no, keep looking for the QB who will.

JG is in a contract year. He doesnt need to be fired. I could see the Cowboys moving him to the front office since they love him so much.

I do enjoy the Patriots CB running his mouth about "shutting down Cooper". The Cooper that is clearly playing hurt, in a game featuring torrential downpours and violently gusting wins. If there is any justice in the world, we meet them in the super bowl and Cooper torches his ass

I feel like most players don't take well to being franchise tagged. I think we concentrate too much on the raw numbers, and not what the % the contract is of the salary cap.

that torrential downpour and violent gusting winds didn't stop other receivers from actually making catches and contributing to their team.

Cooper was shut down.

So will the special teams coach end up the sacrifice that Jerry gives the fans at the end of the season? I just can't see him letting red walk away

Are we supposed to actually be scared by the thought of Garrett to the Giants?? It sure would be nice to know the other team is going to be ill-prepared, unable to adapt to game situations, super-conservative, terrible with challenges and have poor clock management. Is there anyway I can help make this transition happen?

I think the bigger question is whos going to replace him that's better...that also is willing to put up with Jerry.

In 13 seasons with Green Bay, Mike McCarthy led Packers to playoffs in 9 of those seasons resulting in 19 playoff game wins including one superbowl championship. In answer to your question, HE IS BETTER THAN JG.

Will he put up with Jerruh? Can't answer that.

Lotsa guys out there that are better than JG. It's that second question that will be the issue. I think (hope) that Jerry wants another ring bad enough that he'll be willing to back off even more (he has backed off from calling all the draft shots) and bring in a coach that can get it done and not interfere.

You guys keep saying "no thanks, he sucks, he's no good"

He is the best available NFL coach and his resume proves it.

I'd take him.

I thought Lincoln Riley was the next Cowboys HC though.
