Why do they even sit down after every speaking point? Just keep standing and clapping. They have to be tired after voting for 3 days straight.

Her constituent services are top notch. I called her office once trying to get a causeway pass for a space shuttle launch. After about 20 seconds trying to explain what I was looking for, they put me through to SJL.jt2hunt said:
SJL, how does a constituent pull that lever for her!

Congratulations to @GOPLeader on his election as the Speaker of 🇺🇸 House of Representatives. U.S. support in all fields has been vital for 🇺🇦’s success on the battlefield. We’re counting on your continued support and further U.S. assistance to bring our common victory closer.

I was pretty friendly with a GOP congressman for a while. I also maxed out to his campaign a few times and he always returned my calls but his office staff never would put me in direct contact with him.

He's establishment all the way. But for a two year window when we only need to jam things up till 24, I am at peace with it.

That's how Corinne Brown got elected repeatedly in Florida. "Corrine Delivers!" And her constituents ate it up, because it was generally true.
Of course, she was long considered one of the more ethically challenged members of Congress even before she was convicted on Federal corruption charges.

Do you seriously think that republicans in 2024 are going to vote democrat because 2 years prior the Speaker Election took 3 whole days? Surely not.Player To Be Named Later said:TxAgPreacher said:It's hard to get a RINO out once they are in.dreyOO said:TxAgPreacher said:

The way this all went, may be likely to have Jefferies in 2 years anyway.

If it happens, it's more likely that they will stay home when McCarthy RINOs it up over the next 2 years. That's going to happen regardless of how many days his speaker election took.

Republicans? No.
Undecideds and people not really affiliated with any party? Quite possibly. It definitely could shrink any margin of error. The optics of it all won't help

If people continue voting for RINOs in 2024 primaries, then we deserve being in the minority. People have not felt enough hardships from D rule and are still blind to the fact that the GOP says one thing in their platform then devoutly supports RINOs who do nothing when given the opportunity.
I hope you are talking amongst your peers about alternatives to RINOs and how any support for them is essentially guaranteeing the status quo of sliding to leftism. The last thing we need is for voters to fall for the typical RINO tough talk the next two years now that they can propose bills destined to fail in the senate.
