Am I the only one curious what deals Kevin has struck behind the scenes that will only pay off once he's speaker?

One of the issues that I've seen mentioned is that the members of 20 won't give him the vote until his concessions are on paper. They're not trusting his word because his word is worth nothing. They don't trust him

Posted this in another thread, but thought I'd bring it here too:
I live in McCarthy's district. I voted for him, for lack of a better alternative. Kevin doesn't understand what the "Represent" part of representative means. He only represents 1, and that is himself. He will do whatever it takes to climb the ladder. He is McConnell lite.
Those saying they don't trust his word, are wise. I hope there is enough resistance to get him to step down, but I also don't think his ego will allow him to do that.
I would prefer a different speaker (Scalise, Jordan, etc). For a couple reasons:
1) The party and house needs better leadership and rules.
2) It would send a clear sign to McConnell and his cronies (Cornyn included) that their time is up. It would create a pathway to a much needed change of leadership in the senate.

Isn't it beautiful watching our representative democracy work as intended? Twenty brave people standing up to the entrenched establishment saying "Enough of this **** already." I'm not a big Mccarthy fan, but it looks like that link shows different than that list as to how he voted on some items.
Specifically? I scanned through it all prior to posting. Thought the tweet was fairly accurate.

The people who created that page seem to think republicans should automatically vote no on every single bill that goes forward. Might sound fun in principle, and I'm sure people like Boebert who are only doing this to get famous enjoy that, but (in my opinion) not a practical way to govern in the real world.
