I wish Republicans were more effective but their (our) message is infinetely more difficult to sell. It's like comparing 2 salespeople, one is selling ice cream (dems) and one selling a can of Cancer (rep).

They tried to. McCarthy ignored them. He was so convinced that the GOP was going to win in a landslide and wouldn't need to rely on dissenters and could get the new members votes. This is a crisis of his own doing.
