If Republicans are going to fight, we ought to be fighting Mitch McConnell and his domineering, China loving BOSS, I mean wife, Coco Chow. The harm they have done to the Republican Party is incalculable. Today, he couldn't be elected "Dog Catcher" in Kentucky (Sadly, he only won because of my Endorsement, went up 21 points - SORRY!).
True. I had a 9mm and a bit of ammo myself, before they were all lost in that boating accident. Even back then, though, I was fat, lazy and had no military training.Rip*91 said:WHOOP!'91 said:How would you compare those aspects in the US to, say, the insurgencies in Iraq and Afghanistan? I am pretty sure there are quite a few ex-military and/or law enforcement that have a lot of guns and ammo stashed away that are pretty upset with the way things are going.45-70Ag said:
The political and economic components needed for it aren't there.
Neither is the military component.
Throw in a couple of Toyota Tacomas and there could be problems.
You don't have to be ex-Military and/or law enforcement to have lots of guns and ammo stashed away.
Fair enough.Im Gipper said:
Well, that was his position when he ran in 2016, so it should not be a surprise!
The mockery of these guys is all fine and dandy, But chances are that they can hit a dime with an AR-15 at 150 yards.Ag with kids said:TheEternalPessimist said:My apologies.WHOOP!'91 said:I took him to mean metaphorically fat, like has too much to lose to run off to fight a war.TheEternalPessimist said:Why do people think that fat guys or even guys in wheelchairs can't use a gun? I mean, a lot of men participated in the civil war, but not everybody did.45-70Ag said:
This country is too fat and lazy for a civil war.
A fit person with no tactical understanding and no proficiency with firearms loses to a guy 50 pounds overweight who understands both........ every time.
My point remains however.... the assumption that physical fitness in the age of firearms is required in every war situation is laughable. I have seen a LOT Of fat Ukranians and Russians in military gear fighting.
Mine were lost when a gust of wind blew them out the back of my truck and into the Mississippi River in Louisiana. Very unfortunate.WHOOP!'91 said:True. I would assume the "stay firm" crew was hoping that the other 201 Rs would rather work together with their fellow republicans to find a leader they could all agree on instead of conspiring with democrats to ram an unpopular choice down their throats. It goes a long way towards explaining their antipathy towards McCarthy when you realize this is how he has handled their disagreements with him over the last several years as well.aggiedent said:
And now the republicans are negotiating concessions with the democrats to lower the threshold number so he can be chosen.
Somebody in the "stay firm" crowd want to explain to me how this works out good for R's in the end? Seems like dumbassery if this holds true.
Speaks volumes about what McCarthy and the establishment care about.Quote:

You can be certain this is so McCarthy and the swamp critters can hammer out a deal with democrats.GarryowenAg said:
Adjourning until 8pm. Guess they want to have a meeting to hash things out. Gonna be a late night!
Seems like the one you should want an explanation from are those on the side of the guy negotiating concessions with democrats.aggiedent said:

Makes you wonder if Donalds is being used to actually get the Dems to concede.TheEternalPessimist said:
McCarthy should endorse Donalds and step aside.
He is the compromise candidate.
Donalds is freedom caucus, but voted for McCarthy first couple of times.

Yeah but if that dime is moving around and causes them to exert any energy… their accuracy falls exponentially. And if the SHTF during lunch time…all bets are offTheEternalPessimist said:The mockery of these guys is all fine and dandy, But chances are that they can hit a dime with an AR-15 at 150 yards.Ag with kids said:TheEternalPessimist said:My apologies.WHOOP!'91 said:I took him to mean metaphorically fat, like has too much to lose to run off to fight a war.TheEternalPessimist said:Why do people think that fat guys or even guys in wheelchairs can't use a gun?
