Gotta do the snake training. JRT that got bit by the moccasin a few weeks ago had no pause in taking it out on a blotched water snake.
I'm taking hunting lab on Saturday for snake avoidance training again
And good thing the large coyote was on the other side of the fence just now or she would have tried to kill it.

Wow, that is a rare one! Wasn't positive when I made it but didn't even think of that snake.
I legit thought i knew all the snakes that inhabit north America. In the meantime I've already caught one that I've never heard of and that one above makes two, and I'm sure there's more. Not nearly as educated as I thought I was.

Found this little guy in my yard just now. This one actually is a baby snake. A lot of people think the adults of this species are baby copperheads.
