Relocated this tiny western diamondback last night for a guy in Seguin. He was coiled up next to the pool pump. Poor thing found himself a nice warm spot but luckily the guy did not want to harm him and I was able to find it the best new home that I could away where it could get itself in trouble.

He's. ****ing. Wild.

Has a boatload of massive kings and the ones that have good dispositions he lets just crawl on him how they want.

How long will this Indigo be able to go until feeding again? Just always seemed wild that they can swallow whole something in the range of 50-80% of their bodyweight.

never been around me on thanksgiving.......typically 12 hours later were ready to eat again

Good question. Indigos have a high metabolism compared to most snakes, and that one is young, so I bet it burns that meal up pretty quickly.

At the Houston zoo today: big snake with a big bunny. The snake wasn't actively eating so we left after a while. I would have loved to watched it work to swallow the bunny.
