Almost everyone on this board could do better in that aspect. Probably 90% of this board would've fired Garrett already. Hell I would've fired him in 2013.jr15aggie said:Bobby Petrino`s Neckbrace said:
And yet, somehow Jerry Jones is in the NFL Hall of Fame, and Jimmy Johnson isn't. SMDH.
It's really more about what Jerry has done for the NFL as a whole on the business side of things. He has been a very big part of the NFLs impressive growth in the last 30 years. Licensing deals, marketing, stadium deals, negotiations with cities regarding stadium locations, tax incentives, etc. He has been a huge influence on how every team does business in today's NFL.
It has very little to do with the win/loss record of his franchise, but 3 rings certainly helps!

Kind of hoping the Redskins win it, just to give jerruh the final nut shot.
If that's the case then the Redskins will have to start their run to the playoffs on Dec.15 at home against the Eagles 'cause they ain't beating the Packers in Green Bay this Sunday.
Proof of the power of the Cowboys brand. This guy should have never been seen or heard from again the day he retired, and that's how it would be with 29 other franchises.DSAg44 said:
Barbie Carpenter is critiquing Cowboys as an analyst on ESPN. ESPN has dropped farther than I thought.
The Cowboys are larger than life, but his college fame at Ohio State isn't nothingDannyDuberstein said:Proof of the power of the Cowboys brand. This guy should have never been seen or heard from again the day he retired, and that's how it would be with 29 other franchises.DSAg44 said:

Full disclosure. I'm an Oilers/Texans fan but just curious do your opinion as why you say this?

No single individual, with the possible exception of the last two commissioners, has done more to create the current dominance of the NFL than Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday. His vision of what the NFL could achieve was ahead of its time, with television contracts, marketing, branding, memorabilia, franchise values, the NFL Network, harmonious relations with agents and the use of the internet. His energy, creativity and willingness to challenge tradition are partly responsible for the NFL's status as the nation's favorite sport and the Cowboys' status as the highest valued sports franchise in the world.

Just read where Whitten got in Garrett and Moore's face in two different yelling matches. At least someone appears to care
Not if you got paid what he gets paid, I think you could put up with it.Ed Gelton said:

What do you guys think of urban Meyer being the new coach?
I wouldn't have a problem with it. At least Meyer knows how to manage a football game.

How is Brett Maher still on the team? What kinda message does that send the rest of the team and the fanbase? It tells them at a minimum you don't hold your players to any kinda minimum standards. The Jones family is so damn incompetent.
Maybe Trump as president gets thing done, but that was not his reputation as a business man.annie88 said:Thanks. Good to know.Baseball-Junkie said:annie88 said:
