With their 1st pick of the 2020 draft Dallas selects that black cat...
And Tessatore tried SO hard to make it seem like bad luck for the Cowboys.BenFiasco14 said:

I like the idea of taking a TE high. I think Jarwin has a bright future and a high pick could create a ton of matchup problems with Zeke, Pollard, Jarwin, Cooper and a new high caliber TE.
Catching passes from Jerry's grandkid. The first QB/GM/Coach/Owner in the NFLQuote:
Couple more years and the Boys can just draft Witten's son. Then they can play side by side until his son retires in 10-15 years.
Love Witten like I do, Jarwin makes plays when he gets snaps. Dude needs more snaps.DTP02 said:Macarthur said:

Didn't realize how badly we shut down Barkley... 14 for 28. Wow.
On a side note, Sean Lee is a shell of his former self (athletically speaking). Guy can still play and is a baller, but the drop-off is very noticeable. Not somebody I want back next year. Love the guy, but it's a young man's game and he's not that anymore. They all gotta be let go at some point.

This team is lacking something that's hard to put a finger on though if they want a title this year.

He did have a good game, it's what prompted me to write what I did. IMO, he had a good game because the D-line dominated last night and he was where he needed to be to make the play. I just don't see him as the disruptor anymore, he needs somebody else to do that first and he'll clean up the leftovers.Orlando Ayala Cant Read said:

I don't understand this statement. How many teams win with QBs still on their rookie contract?lespaul said:
If we can't win with a pretty good qb on a rookie contract, there is not much hope for when he gets paid.

These next four weeks can easily go 0-4 if they don't sober up and have faith.
Buffalos offense is anemic and Detroit's defense is bad.diehard03 said:Quote:

Buffalo and Minnesota aren't as good as their records suggest. Detroit is bad and New England has always been beatable.
I think if anything keeps them out of the championship game, it is simply having to go through a WC team and either SFO/NO to get there. I think those teams can each get 3 losses on the year, but I think the Cowboys won't run the table either.

The eagles with Wentz. Rams almost won. Besides the patriots (Brady takes less than market value) The ways to win are
1) rookie qb contract
2) superstar qb being paid superstar money.
The surest way to have no chance is pay a non superstar qb superstar money (many examples of this). Plus, other teams are smart and have good coaches. The cowboys have Garrett (above avg at best) and Jerry (terrible) so their chances are slim no matter what.
I was more mad that no one did anything to that Giant OL that seemed to antagonize and create those PF's. He was in the middle of all of it but never got flagged.lespaul said:

If anything the last 25 years has taught us is that they won't make smart decisions. Their coach isn't special at all (how come Noone is mad at all the undisciplined personal fouls last night?). Jerry is awful at best. Their only chance is to get really lucky. Finding Dak was really lucky so they need to capitalize before dak gobbles up all the money
If you watched the game, some trailer park Offensive lineman for the giants was actually the catalyst for all of those personal fouls called on us. Very weird because he never received one.lespaul said:

Well if the debate is how can you build a good team then I'd disagree. They've made a lot of smart moves and the brain trust led by Will McClay and Stephen Jones have shown that they have a plan.
If the debate is coaching that's different and it has nothing to do with Daks contract. So I'm not sure of your point.
If you're in the crowd who just thinks they'll always fall short because Jerry, Garrett, blah blah then fine. Theres plenty on this board who agree with you.
Hard to know for sure. My guess is most likely yes, but I also think Stephen is loyal to Jason, also. I do think the fact that he was not given a contract extension tells you that they are losing patience.lespaul said:

So it isn't Jerry being loyal to keep JG?
It's obvious that he must've put up his trailer as collateral on the check that cleared for the refsGrapesoda2525 said:If you watched the game, some trailer park Offensive lineman for the giants was actually the catalyst for all of those personal fouls called on us. The fact that Jerry is in the HOF is mind boggling (I know it is for marketing and $$) because I can think of few folks who are worse at their job in any profession (again, if winning is your goal and not making $$).
