yes
I give Connor a slight pass for being a sip since he crushed Herman on the way out the door. Also, he his run blocking has been very good. He's just not going to hold up to 330lb bull rushers just yet.DSAg44 said:
Most longhorn suck in nfl. Don't get your hopes up. I've heard he's too passive for OL. We need maulers.

Nate Newton cites Chaz Green having a confidence problem. No Nate, he has a "he sucks at this" problem. It's like saying Jerry Jones has a "confidence problem" at doing brain surgery.

The problem with Thomas is that you'd likely have to give a good pick for a rental player. Dallas has shown restraint from parting with draft picks for big names in recent years.gigem1223 said:
Xavier Woods in doubt for season opener with hamstring strain. Get ET now Jerry! If this ain't a sign, I don't know what is.

Teams are jealous and resentful of the cowboys popularity.jr15aggie said:
If it's just a second rounder they need to get the deal done. But I have a feeling Seattle is being a @#$& about it and are asking for a first.
Seems like you hear deals all the time for really good players trading for mid round picks. Randy Moss immediately comes to mind. But whenever the Cowboys are one of the interested teams it's always a premium pick.

You're right.....MooreTrucker said:
I would think a guy actively campaigning to be traded to the Cowboys would be more than just a rental. He'll be here more than just one year.
Unfortunately, we can't bring Gerald Sensabaugh out of retirement. He's running for mayor of Sullivan County, TN.Grapesoda2525 said:You're right.....MooreTrucker said:

I think he's either home sick or grew up a cowboy fan. He would be our starting safety for the next 5 years or so.
The safety position has been a weakness for awhile now.
I fear that the woods injury actually drove the price UP.jr15aggie said:
We already had zero depth at safety. The Woods injury is just a preview of how we can royally screw our defense this year if one guy goes down. It's time to get a deal done. We have to get a vet. safety at this point anyhow, might as well get the right one.
It's like many of us have been saying... this defense might be very special this year, it would be a shame to let that go to waste. I believe it was Nick Eatman that said in his article... what good did it do to cut Dez, save 8 million on the cap, and not do anything with that money (Earls cap hit would be right at 8 mil this year).
Broaddus had a great quote in his scouting take from the game... Carl Lewis crawls out of bed and can run fast, Gregory crawls out of bed and can rush the passer.

Certainly doesn't help negotiation leverage. You pick up this phone this AM, and Sea is like "hmm, interesting to receive your call, Jerry. price just went up."
He was brought up a few times listening to sports radio this morning. Sounds like a good option. We need a guy like him regardless of whether or not we get ET, so I say get 'er done!jtstanley4621 said:
What about Iloka from the Bengals? Still pretty young, and is a free agent now with the bengals surprisingly cutting him.
Seattle is sitting back racking up CBA $$ from Thomas' absence from camp. They may want to move Thomas, but they're in no way desperate.Rossko said:
The price going up would be dumb for Seattle if they want to move Thomas. If the Woods injury forces the need for a safety, the Cowboys will be looking at more than just Thomas and a higher price would take Seattle out of the running.
