I think a majority of what's in here we knew but HOLY CRAP....so awesome that there was a statue to IG-11 in the background as a tribute to his sacrifice in season 1!

That was an amazing and emotional scene from the first season...and the fact that they include this little nod to it but keep it subtly in the background is a testament to how much respect they are giving to this world...loved it!!!!

Hearing about Chandrila was extra cool as that is Mon Mothma's home planet - Mothma is the first New Republic leader in both the Legends and the new Canon. There's also a pretty cool level on Jedi Academy on Chandrila with a Sith Temple.

Speaking of the Katarn games, the ending scene of this episode with Gideon and the suits of dark armor really reminded me of a large part of the plot of Jedi Outcast which featured the "Sith Reborn" - dark warriors in black suits of armor that were somehow or another infused with the Force. One version of them were called Shadowtroopers and they looked like this.

This episode was forgettable.

I feel like this entire episode could have been shrunk down to 20 minutes and they could have given us some actual plot.

I have enjoyed the show and really liked last week's episode. However, these filler episodes are getting tiring. Are they going to drag this single story arc out through another season?

Forgettable? Speeders, implications of cloning with midichlorians, tie fighter chases and tie backs to season 1 on why they want the child to begin with.

And a new type of Star Destroyer, a statue of the heroic IG-11, and the guard rail joke.

Newsflash, people have differing opinions.

The blue guy was cringe-worthy for the entire episode.

Mando and the rebel chick shoot up 50 storm troopers to blow up a random empire hold-out just so they could make a reveal at the end. It felt forced and was definitely in the bottom half of episodes. He can't jump to hyper-space so happens to be close to the planet with this buddies, then lands to get repaired and just happens to stumble across an Imperial lab where we get some coincidental information.

Just seemed like lazy writing.

Actually the reveal was in the middle. And all of star wars is a coincidence. Vader catches up to the ship containing his secret daughter and 2 droids he used to own who then escape and stumble on the exact moisture farm where his secret son lives, about 25 minutes from where his former master lives.

That's a great point. Almost every other modern series has at least three plot lines going and we can constantly be cutting away or back and forth between them, a la Game of Thrones. But sticking with *one* plot line that we *never* cut away from, combined with the two primary characters consisting of one who can't talk and the other being behind a mask, makes for a lot of weirdly paced and frustrating TV at times. Again, it's still entertaining, and I enjoy it for the most part, but I really wish we were at least cutting away to, say, Moff Gideon on a Star Destroyer every once in a while, or Greef Carga doing his own thing, etc every so often.

You're like our own, personal Wookiepedia. Great reference, and that totally feels like what they're aiming for.

Just rewatched both season two trailers and there isn't a single shot we haven't already seen in the first four episodes. In other words, everything from here on out is fresh, unseen footage.

Reportedly the next episode has the longest runtime so far in the series. It's 58 minutes long.

Because I'm not going home for it this year, I keep forgetting that next week is Thanksgiving. But a big, hour-long, Ahsoka-reveal episode on the Friday after Thanksgiving makes so much sense now.

Gonna spoiler tag this even though it is just my theory at this point but I don't wanna risk it.
So after reviewing everything we know I am becoming more and more certain that we will not see Sabine Wren in this season of The Mandalorian, until the last episode if not next season. I am fairly certain that the final scene in Rebels takes place after this season of the Mandalorian. Here is why I think that:

1) Ahsoka hasn't moved to the unknown regions and is still in the "Outer Rim." So she clearly isn't looking for Ezra at this time

2) Bo-Katan didn't tell Mando that there would be a Mandalorian with Ahsoka, fairly important info to pass on. Odds are at this point Sabine isn't with Ashoka

3) The two X-wing pilots have become a constant on the show, in the final scene of Rebels Ahsoka's ship is escorted by two X-Wings when she arrives on Lothal

4) The best way to launch an Ahsoka series or Rebels Movie is to link it to Star Wars best running program

5) No leaks on a potential actress to be playing Sabine

So what do you think of this theory?

This! It's obvious this was 100% intentional which means I can't friekin wait for these last 4 episodes!!!!!

I can see this angle.
The thing that really bothered me was that it seemed like they went to the base for 20 minutes, and in that time, Mando's ship was turned into the baddest hotrod in the galaxy.

I assumed there was some time that passed between the plan and actual trip to the base

Yeah, they skipped a whole week where Mando was shopping BY around to the different schools on the planet trying to secure the best athletic scholarship offer.

Yeah. I assume that, too, now, but it just didn't click for me the way it was presented. Maybe there was a scene that was cut in the middle or maybe I am the only one who interpreted the scene transitions incorrectly.

I will say this: it is a good thing beskar can resist lasers, since it is the only thing stormtroopers can hit.

Had exact same thought. A dozen of them at once couldn't hit frog boy, Action Jackson, and tank girl, but they have pinpoint accuracy hitting Mando. One of them from about 50 yards. Probably the best shot we've seen by a Stormtrooper in all of the SW films.

Theory: Gideon is using the Beskar seized in the purge of Mandalor to build an army of Dark Troopers - blaster-proof (and possible lightsaber-proof?) battle droids.

Mando's hatred of droids is about to go to a whole new level.

And he's probably also trying to make Jedi clones... or maybe even the emperor or a Darth Vader clone?

Who's to say Asohka will be alone on Corvus? Bo Katan said she was there, not that she lived there alone. Imagine the jaw dropper if Sabine and a grown-up Ezra Bridger are with her.

Also, I'll go ahead and throw out my worst fear and possible spoiler - Is Asokha going to die defending Baby Yoda from Moff Gideon? It seems likely they will be on Corvus for a while and get traced there. I can't wait to see what kinda of music Ludwig puts together for next week's episode.

Since there is a Season 3, I would definitely be interested in Mando helping unite the clans to take back Mandalore from whomever has it now and get Bo Katan back in charge. Speaking of the music cues, think how the Avengers went from their simple theme song in the 2012 movie to this epic version of it for Endgame.

Now imagine the main Mando theme, which is already amazing, amped up for a full-scale military attack to retake Mandalore. That gives me the chills just thinking about it.

Seems like there's a retraction on the runtime for Chapter 13. It's closer to 45 minutes. Apparently some bloggers cannot subtract two times from one another correctly.

If another Mandalorian was with her why wouldn't Bo-Katan mention it? "Hey by the way there is a Mandalorian with Ahsoka. She is like me and takes her helmet off so don't be weird and challenge her to a fight for it."

Almost feels like a foregone conclusion unless they find some other place to harvest midichlorians?

I'm in the group that didn't like the episode. I felt like it just didn't click. The blue guy was annoying and superfluous. I got tired of action shots of the targeting trying to line up and then when it does line up, the actor clenches his body and face. Plus the concept of a tank outrunning fighters. Why didn't one pull in front to block the path while aiming its blasters at the tank to prevent ramming?

I did really like the speeders deploying and launching down the cliff.

I'm not liking the fanboy shout outs. Just another example of not the best writing and story telling.
When the highlight of the episode is some big inside joke about a safety rail, that is pretty weak. IMO

To address the "fanboy shoutouts", if you weren't reading this thread you wouldn't know they were happening.
