It got lost in what was an incredible episode but they kind of had their ladies moment that was handled so much better than Endgame.

Ming Na Wen is such a badass and is the only one to hit the trifecta of Disney princess (Mulan), Marvel, and now Star Wars. Probably very influential for many girls especially Because of Mulan and now through Star Wars

This was handled perfectly because you don't really notice it's a ladies moment. It's just badass characters being badass.

Alright so what if the Ahsoka show is all about Ahsoka and Sabine looking for Thrawn and Ezra. Then Ezra winds up taking over Grogus training and leaves Luke to start the new Jedi training with Ben and others. Would explain why Grogu is gone without Kylo Ren killing him.

I had no idea Ming-Na was 57 years old. She looks great!

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

That was perfect. As soon as I saw the X wing I knew. I'm 45 years old and got misty-eyed.

And the ending with BOBA!

I didn't assume anything...once I saw the light saber was green I was on my feet, think it scared the kid I got up so fast. I haven't had an emotional reaction like that to tv in a long time. You can't slap the smile off my face.

I apologize in advance for asking a tech question, but is anybody else having issues getting their Tv to the perfect picture setting to enjoy the show? It tends to be a bit dark for me and I've played with the brightness, etc. I know this is what they call and ID10T error.

I normally don't care to adjust settings, but feel like I'm missing out on the whole experiences. I've googled a bit, but I'm at a loss.

Edit: It seems like scenes in interior settings are tough to adjust for.

We basically have to watch with ALL the lights off.

Amazing.

This is the Star Wars feel I got from OT.

When Baby Yoda was hanging on to Mando's leg. Tugs at every parent's heartstrings.

Also, I cheered when the dark troopers got sucked out of the bay, not realizing they could fly (and had to come back to fight Luke).

Moff Gideon looked absolutely terrified when he realized a Jedi was coming for them, and Cara knocking him out before he could shoot himself was great.

My first suspicion was when he flew in and didn't respond to the request for ID. Suspicions went up at first shot of hooded figure, then way up at green saber, and then this was the confirmation. Would recognize that saber hilt anywhere

Oh, and can we give Peyton Reed a Star Wars movie now? That was so damn satisfying beyond anything JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson did. Call it fan service, but nothing from their films matches what I got from that episode of tv.

My wife, both of my elementary-school-aged kids, and I screamed our heads off when Luke took his hood off.

And I, too, rewatched the post credits scene. So. Freaking. Cool.

11 films, 3 animated series, and that was the most bad assed 5 minutes of Jedi ass whoopery of the Star Wars universe!

That Darth Vader scene at the end of Rogue One was awesome. These two might be up there for best scenes.

Did anyone watch the scene after the credits. It gets even more interesting....

Two people starred his post as of the time of this signature. Those 3 people are allowed to vote in the US.

This is exactly what they missed in the sequels. Just give the fans what they wanted and everyone would have been a lot happier.

ok check this out.....I could obviously be wrong and if i most likely am these final 2 episodes are still going to be awesome......i should also add this: im basing this entirely on my own idea on what i think is going to happen and haven't read this anywhere BUT just in case i'm right i'll include spoiler tags (again...this is only coming from me)

for those of you on this board who know my posts know that i adored Rogue One and still hold it up not only as the best Star Wars film, but the best movie watching experience of my life.

I'm getting RO vibes here regarding to how this story is building and building just as the 3rd act of RO was building and building to that amazing ending.....and here's why.

multiple times in the past Mark Hamill had mentioned his idea for what he thought would be the best into for Luke in episode 7.....i found one video highlighting it here (skip to about 2:50):

to sum it up, his idea was to have Luke force grab the saber in the snow instead of Rey because he would have sensed the danger Han was in (as well as his death) and ran to his rescue to try and save him....then gotten this amazing reveal of our hero's return....obviously this isn't the reveal that we got.

And I believe this is the reveal we are going to get in The Mandalorian. I believe there's going to be a major fight with the dark saber, those shadow troopers, and our heros and they are straight up going to get their butts whipped but somehow that dark saber is going to get knocked away or taken from Moff Gideon and THAT is when we are going to get our jedi reveal for who Grogu caught the attention of in S2 E6.

Could it be Luke? Could it be Ashoka coming back? Could it be another Jedi? Or a Sith? I don't know....but Mark Hamill's original idea of how he thought Luke should have been revealed I'm sure didn't fall on deaf ears and I think we're going to get something like that in the last episode.

Two more......here we go!

Quote:

What I hope ends up happening is we actually do see Grogu get back with the good guys at the end of S2 and then in S3 we get our A and B story plots with A being Grogu Jedi training and anything involved with that (maybe one or two episodes with Grogu's back story during TCW) and B being Gideon (or any other bad dudes) + first order back story
I WASNT 100% ON BUT HOLY **** WAS I CLOSE OR WHAT!?!?!?!?

Not to rehash any arguments over the ST, but they 100% misjudged want most fans wanted. And I really liked TLJ. But what I wanted was badass Luke roaming the galaxy collecting Jedi lore and fighting bad guys. (You know, basically what we just got )

TLJ didn't ruin that. TFA excluded it as a possibility.

Problem with Luke or Leia taking him is you'll have to explain where he was during the st and why he wasn't helping them.

He should disconnect from the force and reconnect in 50 years. Then he'll see that there is a palpatine girl running around and go destroy her.
IF (and that's a big IF) they were to go this route....here's what I think happens...and this would be the very end of the series

Grogu is being trained with Luke and the other Jedi....along with Ben.....and is killed whilst trying to save other Jedi (or even Luke himself) while Ben is going all dark side on their asses

Could even get crazier and have Snoke trying to influence Grogu first and him resisting

I don't know I highly highly doubt they do this but the ideas it brings up to tie in the beginnings of the FO is pretty interesting

AND BAM!!!!! CALLING IT NOW THAT THIS GOES DOWN TOO PROBABLY SEASON 4 OR 5 DEPENDING ON WHEN THEY DECIDE TO END IT

I think Grogu reunites with Mando and doesn't end up training with Luke for too long. We're still 20 years from Kylo burning down the place right? I bet they don't cross paths, and Grogu is a Jedi master whenever they move 100 years into the future for the next trilogy.

Just awesome.

I watched the arrival of the x wing and the end again.

The music and tone was just perfect. It was almost like watching a ballet among robots. He was an art form fighting these mechanical beasts and making it look effortless. Something about it was just perfect.

Yeah the arrival of the X Wing gave me that epic feeling my gut like the portal scene in End Game. Nailed it.

Damn what an outstanding episode. I loved it all, except that Grogu is now gone. Little dude was a main character along with Mando. Gonna have a different feel next season.

Prime Luke showing was everything I've wanted for 30 years. Shame my asshat of a friend spoiled it for me while I was at work.

Just keep letting Favreau and Filoni make whatever they want. I'll pay for it all

Yes... Luke's face looked bad.

But, I can't remember the last time I happy cried as hard as I did when I saw the green light saber click on. I mean... you see the Xwing and you think, "maybe?" Then that green lightsaber.

That was the best "Jedi wrecks ****" scene since Vader in Rogue One. Loved it on so many levels Yes, it's Luke and he's a badass. But one of the things that has bothered me about this show is that every dick and jane Mando runs across just cuts through enemies, like butter. It kind of cheated the awesomeness of all the times we've seen Jedi do the same thing. So what, this random assassin or shock trooper or sharpshooter does the same thing... yippee for you, Jedi.

However, now we see our group of heroes in an unwinnable situation and, not only does one of the greatest Jedi save them, he does it in one of the most convincingly awesome ways. Just demonstrates complete control of the force. Every move is methodical, every jab or swipe destroys a dark trooper, and he just force crushes or throws everything perfectly.

I will say again, I have never happy cried has hard as I did when I saw that. Not even seeing the Ride of the Rohirrim for the first time.

I disagree I feel we're gonna get dual plot lines now like I had predicted. Grogu will still be around however a majority of the plot I feel is going to center around Mando, Bo, dark saber, rise of first order, and fight for Mandalore.

As much as I love Luke if he's in this too much with Grogu it'll take away from Mando....and this is The Mandalorian after all.

I didn't think the Luke's face was bad at all. Much improved over RO IMO

I don't expect to see Luke again in this series.
