I had no issues with the use or quality of the CGI, but it was on screen far too long. he just stood there silently. awkward.

Maybe it was already covered... but what about the connection between r2 and Grogu?
If Grogu was at the Jedi temple, would they have met back in the time of anakin and r2? Was r2 involved with rescuing Grogu?

I didn't take it s they had a previous connection. I took it as Grogu, being a child, is enamored with lights and sounds, like he is with the ball from Mando's ship. R2 is a large toy to a child.
I'm not sure there is much more meaning than that.

maybe there's an empty cavity in R2 like the 70's toys where Grogu was kept hidden.

With Rodriguez producing, looking forward to the QT episode of Boba Fett.
Boba: "Did you see a sign on the side of my palace that says Dead Sandie Storage?"
In this world, "sandie" is a derogatory form of sand people, of course.
There was also a Clone Wars era legends book where Yoda pretended to be an astromech for a big chunk. Was actually pretty good (and funny).YouBet said:Flashdiaz said:

There was an astromech droid with this exact feature in TCW that carried around a diminutive Colonel of the Republic.

It's all fake. Who cares if the CGI isn't perfect.

I had no problem with CGI Luke. Amazing episode.

OK Question now.
Is The Mandalorian over now? Was that the series finale?
I'm totally fine if it was. They'll never be able to top that ending.

Sound like The Book of Boba Fett first then Mando s3 goes into production right after. I'd imagine we'll see some crossover

Yes. But it's been 25 years. Since I've seen them in their entirety.
Yep... that was exactly what I was doing. Except there was a lot more "OH ****!!" moments in my living room.Brian Earl Spilner said:

My only problem with the CGI is that I would love more Luke cameos in the future, so I would have loved a recast so we don't have to rely on CG when it happens. That's not to say they can't recast, now.
TBH, I would be more than happy for them to completely dismiss the sequel trilogy as cannon and just start from this point.

I am not a big fan of recasting such an iconic role, but it's just obvious.
Only use him for cameos in big moments. He's already making Disney+ content too.
