Seriously, Russia isn't providing any significant material support for the mullahs. They are pretty close to financially broke right now too.

Fire was quickly extinguished, it wasn't a mine probably, but a drone, and the ship didn't sink so at some point the oil will in fact be delivered.


As with most Iranian claims I take them with a grain of salt. Footage may or may not be real. There are around 600 functioning VLCC ships today (excluding old/busted/shadow fleet tankers).

Just a minor fyi I am not going to address 'hormuz letter' claims further.

I just don't find it interesting enough. Oil prices are up slightly over the weekend (0.39 percent) but I think that is mainly the Chinese news. November gas futures are off a couple cents (to $3.29/gallon).

Is that really how yall are interpreting that poll?

It says Americans would NOT be more likely to vote Republican even if gas prices were $1/gallon and the war ended. That is people saying they don't care what Trump does. He has already screwed the pooch and nothing he can do will make people more likely to vote R.

With Iran these types of declarations are usually explained later as well it's hard to know who is running things. With Russia and Ukraine it's pretty likely that's not the case.

It's getting ridiculous at this point.

And as Nortex posts, oil itself isn't the issue, but refining capacity and other stuff. More proof that we need to massively deregulate, across the board, to allow for a lot more refineries to be built (as well as improving every other market that the govt has goat ****ed with regs).

I disagree that Iran was a legitimate threat, and that "the war" was a necessary action but that's behind us by months and months....here we are. Now, finish the ****ing job and we can get on with things. We constantly start bull**** but are too pantywaist to actually finish it up.

Not the first time Trump has straight up lied about this. He just.....announces it unilaterally. Without consulting, well anyone it appears like. Just like last time.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not thinking this is something Trump and Republicans running in the midterms want to beat Biden at, especially since for the first year under Trump gas prices were low and possibly going lower.
