The only other country I'd say different if forced would be Japan.

Don't blame ethanol for high gas prices, the higher ethanol blends are substantially cheaper, with e85 at some coop gas stations being 60% cheaper than non ethanol gas. Get over the engine wear excuse, it's getting old and tired. E30 is all I run, best value for mileage and price.

So far nobody has been able to explain how me paying more for gas is actually keeping Iran from building a nuclear weapon.
On the other hand, I just wrote a very large check for fuel at the ranch which directly factors into why your food prices aren't coming down.

Recalculate the cost by energy density. I believe you will find the higher ethanol blends to be more expensive, which in turn will lower the MPG as well.

OP needs to inform Trump that it's actually under $3.

You are generally correct, though if it was truly 60% cheaper per gallon the e85 would be a better deal. That being said, I have never seen it that much cheaper.

Local kwik star gas station is currently 3.99 for non ethanol regular. I can buy e15 (unleaded 88) for 3.29, at that difference in price e15 is the better deal

Because Iran is a petro economy and they aren't selling any oil.

They have no money to pay for a nuclear program.

That's how it helps

How did North Korea do it without oil money?

They aren't an oil dependent economy and never have been.

We are shutting off Iran's sole income stream.

North Korea is a Chinese vassal state.

Gas will get cheap again just because people will start driving less and then normal refining capacity will return and there will be an excess of unleaded
Throw in a very likely economic downturn cheaper gas is closer than you think
Remember that at the end of Covid which was a little over 5 years the spot price of crude went Negative
Supply and demand imbalances happen and that's what drive prices

Crude went negative when the world shut down, not at the end of COVID. It was April 2020.

Supply and demand is causing this price increase and the reason supply has been constrained was military action by the US and Israel followed by counter-action by Iran.

No one has said cheap gas isn't possible if our economy craters and there's no demand.

I know the cause and was just pointing out that approximately 6 years ago we had an unprecedented over supply situation

Of course the Saudis , UAE etcetera will try to bit have that happen again but supply demand imbalances happen eventually

I will be up there next week. It is always a lot higher cost wise up there but that is painful.

If gas prices were only seventeen cents higher than they were the day before Trump attacked Iran, I doubt anyone would care.

That it's still over a dollar and change more than the day before Trump attacked Iran with no end in sight, that could be why folks are still not jumping up and down with joy for where gas prices are at.

Yes people aren't happy that prices are up after Trump campaigned on lowering them because he started a war which he promised he wouldn't
