RBV26 is still at $3.10 this morning. Pretty hard to be below $3 at the pump when blendstock is above that. Maybe trump will tell gas stations to lower prices like he "told Walmart" to lower their prices?

See you talk out both sides here. I believe you to be genuine, and you are probably a good guy I would have a whiskey with. But myself and many on this thread genuinely believe that Trump is not killing it, does that mean we are wrong and misguided? You sure seem to dismiss our arguments and counter points.

Wrong and misguided referred to that poster continuing to insinuate without basis that I am being disingenuous.

A lot of what you say here is good in theory, but will they ever actually amount to anything. Permits, great....will they ever get anything done? Remember the Keystone pipeline? Decoupling from SOH..pipe dream. This regime has been a nuisance to that region for 5 decades, if that could have been done, it would have.

Don't like the disingenuous do you? Well it is. I know your AI prompts are spitting all sorts of info out for you that you use to spin a Trump take, but reality is that Americans didn't travel this summer due to cost. And those that did, took local, drivable trips.

Cherry picking events or weekends with high attendance is disingenuous.

At this point the Trump administration is no better than the Biden administration on the economy and has earned the same treatment and outcome.

Cherry picking one of the biggest travel weekends showing that VOLUME (I know that hurts) is up and that people are traveling DESPITE higher costs.

There is NOTHING disingenuous in that position. Its disingenuous to ignore and mischaracterize what I originally said, but you do you.

Memorial Day - record travel volume. July 4th - record travel volume. Air travel for the summer, airlines say it's up and us travel association says mostly flat.

Comparing Trump to Biden as the same is pretty telling.

Of all of the refined products, this is the one that counts. People ***** and moan about gasoline. Airlines worry about kerosene.

Everything actually moves on diesel.

I say this as a guy who drives a gasoline car and only buys gasoline twice a month. The gasoline price is merely an indicator of political trouble.

The diesel price is the leading indicator of economic dislocation. It's not just the trucks. Even barges run on diesel.

I am willing to bet that, if you look at rail and barge volume, you'll see the problem, already.

That's exactly what businesses are doing. Cargo moves with diesel. How do they make more money? By charging higher prices. You think they just eat the cost for the benefit of the consumer?

Diesel crack spread is all time high. Refiners are printing money. But that's not all Iran war, Ukraine is taking a lot of Russian refineries offline as well which is squeezing supplies.

Everybody focus on the oil price and that gets the headlines but product prices are what actually impact regular people. The regular guy isn't buying a barrel crude, he's buying products and that's going to come down slower than oil would come down.
