Gas is up 30 cents! Burn the country down! Vote in Soviet style cost controls. We finally got Trump, boys!

Off again. WTI should hopefully be back in the $70's this week.
Sorry, Democrats. And Gasoline futures are all the way down to $2.57 looking to December contracts, as the market prices in the recovery in the 4th quarter.

Sorry, I really don't know. If you think it will take quite some time and the IRGC will be disruptive long term though you could make good money on futures contracts if you are correct.

Lol, WTI is up now.
$2.57 RBOB isn't what you pay at the pump, FYI. You have to add rack-to-retail spreads (taxes, storage, transportation and retail mark-up). You can guestimate the current spread by RBOB Front-Month vs. current retail average ~$1.20 (higher than normal). Average spread is ~.$75 - $.90.
Net: You're $2.57 is still probably above $3 at the pump in December.

Gas prices going down by about 70 cents in five month from now is good. Gas for me will be down almost, to $3 a gallon when that happens.
It'll still need to go down another 90 cents more after that to get where prices were before Iran.
Any idea how long it'll take for that to happen?

Patience. After midterms these people won't care about the price of gas anymore.

$3 gas was a huge deal when Kari Lake posted the OP.
As soon as it became clear that $3 wasn't happening, it suddenly became a manufactured "affordability" issue ginned up to drive away voters

This combined with the new pipelines / overland routes should take care of things. Look for Dems to deny or ignore until after the election. This hurts their narrative.TRM said:Oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz have recovered to around two-thirds of pre-war levels, limiting the Iran war’s impact on global crude prices, according to Goldman Sachs https://t.co/HB0bmMGHEW
