Wait a second.

Iran has announced that it's fully open?

Didn't he just tell us it was already fully open and that they didn't control it?

Now he's posting that they have announced it's fully open again?

I'm confused...

Off again. WTI should hopefully be back in the $70's this week.

Sorry, Democrats. And Gasoline futures are all the way down to $2.57 looking to December contracts, as the market prices in the recovery in the 4th quarter.

Gas prices going down by about 70 cents in five month from now is good. Gas for me will be down almost, to $3 a gallon when that happens.

It'll still need to go down another 90 cents more after that to get where prices were before Iran.

Any idea how long it'll take for that to happen?

Sorry, I really don't know. If you think it will take quite some time and the IRGC will be disruptive long term though you could make good money on futures contracts if you are correct.

That's okay, just trying to figure out how these things factor into the futures world and then to the everyday gas pump stuff.

Thanks for sharing.

Lol, WTI is up now.

$2.57 RBOB isn't what you pay at the pump, FYI. You have to add rack-to-retail spreads (taxes, storage, transportation and retail mark-up). You can guestimate the current spread by RBOB Front-Month vs. current retail average ~$1.20 (higher than normal). Average spread is ~.$75 - $.90.

Net: Your $2.57 is still probably above $3 at the pump in December.

Patience. After midterms these people won't care about the price of gas anymore.

$3 gas was a huge deal when Kari Lake posted the OP.

As soon as it became clear that $3 wasn't happening, it suddenly became a manufactured "affordability" issue ginned up to drive away voters

Haven't you heard? We're only allowed to talk about gas prices when it helps the administration. If you talk about high gas prices you're a panican.

That's a weird pic.

First; that's premium gas, which is not typically used as a metric overall versus normal and diesel...

Second, in late june, prices were as high as $6.85 in truckee california. I would have loved to pay $1.70 less per gallon of that for regular 2 months ago, so that's kind of a self-own showing that it has gotten better.

Third, you probably need to see an optometrist if you didn't notice the Trump sticker before posting it.

Yes you can say anything and do anything when the 4th branch of government will not hold you accountable. Sure we just doubled our oil reserves. Sure Venezuela will hold them for us. Maybe a day of questions approved before hand of course then we move on to the next story. Trump doesn't tell the truth love him or hate him we can agree on that. He is a master of the media blitz this will be a non story by monday. When gas prices still don't go down he will go back to blaming the greedy oil companies like the good Democrat he is.

The kinetic war is pretty much over. Been quite awhile since Iran fired off ballistic missiles. Now we just choke them economically. You should write a thank you letter to your President Trump for protecting you and yours from crazed mullahs in Iran.
