Winning.

That Exxon station is always the highest gas price anywhere and they have a reputation of after you shop there your credit card numbers ending up on the dart web

And if anyone has ever been inside that store, it is obvious why. Sketchy as F.

There is a similar one on Harvey Road, usually 20-30 cents higher than most other places.

With Trump, history has shown the need for "if true".

Google only had Trump's post, but nothing from Zelensky or Putin.

Looking forward to hearing from those two on this matter.

Do you really think Ukraine is going to stop doing the one thing that is helping them the most. Here is a novel concept, get out of Ukraine and they will stop popping your refineries.

$103 and change right now. Not good for the pump.

Trump has very little credibility in reports about what Ukraine and Russia is going to do and not do!

The guy that said about a million times that he'd end the war on day one is well into his term now and can't even get the two together at the table. His efforts on that totally failed.

So his social media posts on that are about as credible as his posts on his war with Iran.

We should be the ones getting out of Ukraine.

They can either abide by Trump's request or suffer the consequences.

Zelensky will undoubted cry to MSM and Capitol Hill, but Trump controls the weapons and the "send" button on the money.

I honestly would have thought Trump was just going to completely leave Ukraine to fend for themselves by now.

Why he hasn't does benefit the MIC, and of course Ukraine, but other than those two, it doesn't make sense. I mean, unless he secretly supports what Ukraine is doing.

He wants the win of bringing it to a "successful" conclusion.

He may not want Vindman Treason 2.0 to be a distraction should he cut them off.

BUT... back to this thread, the 'request' on laying off the diesel refining as military targets may make him roll the sleeves back up.
nortex97

Trump was very/uncharacteristically explicit on this, with respect to diesel. I wonder if specific refineries/infrastructure was discussed.

In any case, WTI futures seem to have dropped off a cliff since he made the comment.

Only a 1-day snapshot so I wouldn't put too much credence in this until Z/Putin mouthpieces confirm/comment, tbf. I do bet the Chinese underwriters of all this crap support this, fwiw.

Sort of what the purpose of this site is.

Even tweets and articles from Axios and the Guardian are nothing but the opinion of others.

Particular in regards to "futures"... HTH.

PS None of my opinions are ever humble. I am a person incapable of humble opinionating.

He has seemed to not been paying that issue much attention for obvious reasons. But, hey, if it gets Russia to stop and get prices down, better late than never.

Nevermind, the usual call happened, now it has to include 'other critical infrastructure' etc.

Not happening. WTI dipped under $101 until our little 'ally' got to his keyboard. Diesel will probably keep rising.

Diesel was $3.897 on March 2, 2026 and rose to $4.859 on March 9, 2026.

I wonder what was happening that week...oh yeah, Iran was shutting down the Strait of Hormuz.

Diesel had rose to $5.643 on April 6, 2026.

This isn't rocket science.

Just finished my roughly 1000 mile drive from Charlotte to KC. The results of my very anecdotal and unscientific review of gas prices are below.

Cheapest gas-$3.78
Highest gas-$4.29

Cheapest Diesel-$5.99
Highest Diesel-$6.69

The highest gas and diesel were both at the same station in rural Tennessee, definitely an outlier. Overall it seems like $3.99 and $5.99 were the most common prices for gas and diesel respectively. I only saw a few stations below $3.99 gas. Here in the KC metro area that also seems to be the case.

When Trump causes us to feel pain at the pump, we should just smile and take it.

When Ukraine causes pain at the pump in a war over their sovereignty, they should stop because we say so.

Everybody making a joke about feeling patriotic but it's really a good example of how the common man always gets screwed because they are at the end of the economic chain.

The common man always gets stuck with the bill. A war adds $1,000 to his annual gasoline costs, while those at the top report record profits. Every business passes its higher costs down the chain until they reach the one person who can't pass them along: the consumer. He absorbs the increase, watches his purchasing power shrink, and is told it's a necessary sacrifice. Funny how the sacrifice is always shared, but the profits never are.

Uhm...sir....

I was told two pages ago that:

Quote:

You can set your price to maintain profit margin but there is a point where people stop buying it. You go out of business that way as well.

Just curious, for you, and others, at what point do you feel the fuel prices will be high enough for you to stop buying fuel?

Well we have reached a new high at my local QT Mart at $5.99 9/10. Essentially $6 diesel fuel. I'm really starting to wonder how bad this is going to get? Unbelievable.

Conservatives have uniformly embraced the higher gas prices as a sign of patriotism and a way to drain libs wallets at the same time.

The corporations and businesses can pass on the cost to consumers because it's anonymous and it's easy.

Nobody notices the price increase until it happens and by then it's too late. You and your neighbor have no way of banding together to boycott the big bad corporation from screwing you. You can say you're not buying hamburger meat anymore, but it doesn't matter because the Smith family down the street is still buying beef and willing to pay the increase.
