The second day of the Jan. 6 hearings on Monday focused on former President Trump's promotion of his false fraud claims.

Trump’s own campaign advisors, his Department of Justice, and his cybersecurity experts all told him the same thing… the Dominion voting conspiracy was "complete nonsense."

The election results were fully investigated to the point that eliminated possible fraud from affecting the results before the results were certified. All that really needed to be done to verify this is to make sure they followed their procedures and certified their results. That is what the election departments of the various states do. The idea that the election departments were crooked is so absurd as to be unbelievable.Ellis Wyatt said:How could Trump's team possibly know something that wasn't even fully investigated? I do agree with her on concerns about our democratic trajectory in this country but those concerns 100% originate with the totalitarian efforts of Democrats. I'm assuming this Politico reporter hasn't thought to question the left side of the aisle on their trajectory though.Quote:
"The reality is - obviously, it's a very important issue. Obviously - like I've been covering this nonstop for the last year. It's important, it's a key part of understanding American history and the democratic trajectory that this country is on. It is also true at the same time and not at all contradictory that it's not a top-tier voting issue for people who are figuring out who they're going to support during the midterms," Swan told Todd. "Top-tier issues are material concerns. How are people paying their mortgages? How much does it cost to get milk and bread? How much does it cost to get gas?"
Swan added, "Do these hearings result in different electoral outcomes for Democrats? I have yet to see any actual evidence that they do."
The serious answer to your sarcastic question is yes, there's already more than enough to prosecute and indict Trump. The fact that "people dont care" doesn't change that.Gigem314 said:

Under normal circumstances, nobody would believe that a candidate that lost a presidential election by over 74 electoral votes, over 7 million in the popular vote, had actually won. But, if you start making threats to elected officials, doxing the election workers, and insulting anyone who suggests that Loser Donny actually lost, well, you can be fairly sure those who agree with your lie are true believers and do a pretty good job of preventing those who have the integrity to tell the truth from being heard.
Trump lost. He knew he lost. He knew that the only way to stay in power was to subvert the US Constitution and really didn't care who he hurt to achieve that goal. He failed to uphold the oath he swore to when he assumed office. In effect, he lied to God.
But, keep repeating misleading headlines, manufactured evidence, and try to destroy anything that gets in your way. That's the American way (or, at least, what the American way is becoming).

Trump is at "the point of about to scream at the TV" as he tunes in to each hearing, one unnamed close advisor told the paper.
Another in his circle, also unnamed, told the paper that Trump continually complains that "there's no one to defend me" at the hearings, which have attracted huge amounts of media coverage.
A person familiar with the situation denied this to Insider, saying: "This is not true. He has barely watched any of the hearings at all."
