I just don't get why Kendall would blow the deal and cost himself billions of dollars. There's got to be more than just to spite his dad

Why would Logan cut out Gerri?
She and Hugo watching that video was hysterical.

Not sure I can really believe Roman falling for this again.

Alan Ruck just delivered one of the most tragic lines in #Succession's history. What a punch to the gut. pic.twitter.com/9aPqyNQOvR
The way Connor's wedding stuff escalates from a funny but sad subplot into one of the major truth-telling moments of the series is an example of why SUCCESSION is the best-written show on TV. I've rarely seen a show know how to use comedy as a devious set-up for devastating drama

Everyone on #Succession fires on all cylinders. It's really time Emmy voters look at Alan Ruck as a worthy contender. His performance is so masterfully subtle & his range is tremendous. pic.twitter.com/3RkDPsIxWI

I absolutely can. It's Roman's Achilles heel, his fatal flaw. But the thing is, for the first time, I too actually believed Logan. They spent a chunk of the episode *showing* us just how lax and poorly run ATN is, and Roman legit *would* be great at whipping that place into shape. I think that's the irony of the whole thing, is that what Logan said to Roman is actually true this time.
I think it has to pay off in a real way this time, otherwise it feels repetitive and meaningless. Pay off with Logan actually giving him autonomous control and pay off with Gerri being out of the picture.Proposition Joe said:TCTTS said:Proposition Joe said:

I get that it's Roman's weakness.. But at a certain point "Kid X is fooled once again that Logan is going to really give them significant power" kinda becomes repetitive.
Hopefully it's just setting up a stage where Roman grows a backbone and tells his Dad he's out.

Great Ep2! Many good lines but has Shiv's ass gotten bigger since season 3?

I don't know how this deal is going to go, but I feel like we got a glimpse of the end game of Roman in this episode.

Also, what is with the Kerry audition? That has to be a trial balloon from Logan to see who at ATN are yes men and who are not, right?
Unless there is something explicit that I've missed, I'm not sure there has been a stated reason.rynning said:
Can someone explain to me why Kendall doesn't want the deal to go through?
Could be that Kerry actually wants it to be a reality, and Logan is using it as a trial balloon.Proposition Joe said:BowSowy said:

That was my original thought, but they are certainly playing that as a misdirection as they went out of their way to show Kerry reacting to the kids telling her that Logan is going to betray her like all the others. On the walk back out to the car you could tell she was absolutely thinking about things. Could be a big misdirection though.

I read it more as wanting to spite Mattson as well. And maybe he wants to call his bluff.
