Yeah, I watched the first couple seasons more than once and it helped to follow along - I even got accused of being a book reader once because I actually remembered things and was able to figure out who some people were. But I haven't done that in a couple seasons. Maybe before the final season I'll try to power through everything up to that point.

does anybody else read the episode synopses from hbo.com? between that and this thread its the only reason i know who "the waif" is, never heard anybody on the show call her that.

I haven't been reading the HBO Go stuff this season, but it was helpful in the past. Waif just seems like an obvious description. A girl has no name in the show.

I think I got her character's name from Sepinwall's review. Most of my perspective on the bigger world and "who was that guy" comes from him and After the Thrones/The Watch.

I'm really interested to see what happens at River Run next week.

The show has picked up so much speed since outpacing the books.

well yea, but that doesnt answer the question. ive skimmed through the past seasons recently and never heard "waif" mentioned.

i know this is the show thread but that's how the girl is introduced in Book 4 when Arya first walks into the house of Black & White (just re read this part). "'Don't ever touch me again....' Arya told the waif."

Hey there my bro!!!!! Wow that last episode was pretty boring. But the one before with Hodor getting ripped to pieces by the zombies was incredible!

Bran basically got hodor killed because he just had to grab that tree root and go mind surfing when he wasn't suppose to. Got the raven killed plus all those little fairy people. Reminds me of millennial punks of today. All they think about is themselves.
