no reasoning. Up and down. Manipulation both ways.
Since the reverese split, the share price is over $1 and now tutes are allowed to own it.
This thing ran up to $7 (pre 8:1 reverse split) back before the drilling of the first well. We own less of the concession now, but Tullow is operator so drilling should go much more smoothly.
One of the posters on IV that I think knows what he is talking about said he expects it to run into double digits and maybe $20+ before the end of the year. Drilling is planned by Tullow for Q1 2014.

hitting 20 would be like it running to 2.60 pre-split which is not that big of a stretch since it was anywhere from .40-1.30 in the last year...but I am skeptical of anything hdy associated. especially anything from the IV board.
me and my buddy (who still owns a ton) were laughing the other day, when he saw the post split price and didn't know it was coming. He said his hand was on the sell button before he realized it. Anyway, I would love nothing more to see this thing hit, so he could make some money. In this casino, I always cheer for the little guy to make some money....but just don't see it happening

in all honesty, now's the time to look at losses for the year. Will it go back up? Prob not, but who knows. If you need some write-offs might as well sell.

Your comments throughout the entire thread amuse me. You have friends who have(had) "big money" in HDY and that you wish everyone to succeed, yet you openly pine for failure. The stock has obviously cratered. If your belief is so strong that the stock will continue to crater, why not advise everyone to hold until bankruptcy for an even larger write off? Make up your mind. One of the best operators in Africa, the same ones who discovered Jubilee, has significant interest in the lease. Besides most likely being an H-town sock, what are your credentials to make such a claim?

If you read my post, I said "In all honesty..." I don't know what this will do, but I was talking about if you need to take a loss on something this year, you might look at selling HDY. WTF is wrong with that? You're obviously losing $$ but even more, your dream of paying cash for a Ferrari is done.
I have given up the idea of a ferrari and have settled for a new domestic pickup!
