You are correct, they were a bunch of losers. But, they did accomplish something. They made an organized attack on the duly elected representatives of this country in an attempt to prevent them from carrying out their duties as required by the Constitution, showing that in order for this Republic to remain, the rule of law must be followed. Otherwise, we get mob rule.

The fact that Loser Donald failed in his attempt to subvert the rule of law to stay in power is irrelevant. What is relevant is the attempt. He tried to subvert the Constitution, a document he swore on the Bible to protect. Yeah, he lied to God.

Trump could have called off the rioters. There is definitive evidence that rioters were responding to his tweets as he was making them during the riot.

The security of the capitol was not the responsibility of Nancy Pelosi. The Capitol Police chief reports to the Capitol Police Board which includes the Sergeants at Arms for both chambers who are elected by their chambers and none of them report to Pelosi. After hours of testimony, we know Pelosi was never involved in Capitol security decisions. And even if she was, this argument is illogical scapegoating. It would not change Trump's culpability.

Days before, Lin Wood tweeted that Pence could be arrested and tried for treason (we all know what the penalty for treason is).

There was a whole cesspool of threats to Pence leading up to Jan 6...Trump's tweet didn't "activate" them and you know it.
