you should hope as a US citizen she gets freed. i guess you've never made stupid mistakes in your life.
I'm not going to debate whether she should be held or not, but for those three to be holding a prayer rally at Toyota Center for her with everything else going on is pandering at best.
not denying that at all. but that has nothing to do with the "keep her" comment
Changing lanes without a blinker or speeding through a small town and getting a ticket or maybe forgetting to pay for something in the bottom of your shopping cart and walking out of the grocery store are stupid mistakes. Taking drugs to a foreign country is juuuuuuust a touch beyond a simple stupid mistake. Assuming it wasn't planted on her, as the previous poster noted.
i'm not minimizing her mistake. what she did was completely ridiculous and she deserves punishment for it.
but the comment "keep her" was out of line as far as i'm concerned

you're not wrong.
Comment should have been more along the lines of "why should I care what happens to someone who gets caught with an illegal drug in another country when there are way more important things like taking care of my own family to consider?"

Why should we go out of our way for her when she's denigrated this country repeatedly and publicly?

suspect car looks like a nissan with paper plates. shocking.
what a shame to lose another thief.
How long before the thief's family is interviewed and saying, "They didn't need to KILL him, he was only laying down in the grass! I want justice against the mean ol' police!"
I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'
You guys see/hear about the San Francisco (of all places) DA getting recalled/ousted due to the voters being fed up with high crime? What will it take for us to get there?

Can you do this for a county judge?
No. Can sue for incompetence in Democrat-controlled district court.

Clay Travis was just talking about this, very good omen for November.
San Francisco residents voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to recall District Attorney Chesa Boudin, one of the nation's most progressive top prosecutors.
Partial results from the San Francisco Department of Elections on Tuesday night showed the recall measure also known as Proposition H had the support of nearly 60% of voters, with 40% voting against it.
Boudin sought to reform the criminal justice system, ending the use of cash bail, stopping the prosecution of minors as adults, and focused on lowering jail populations amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Boudin also became the first San Francisco DA to file homicide charges against city police officers.

I keep tellin' y'all, all boudin west of the Calcasieu River is rotten. Can you imagine how bad it is in San Francisco?
Can't we just get some common sense Altima reform? I have no stats to back it up, but Texags stats suggest that Altimas are disproportionately used to commit crimes in Houston and we need to stop law abiding people from buying or owning them, because that will stop the criminals from using them...
I'm guessing it has something to do with limited manning and response times so if there's a body or shooting the closest available units respond. Just a guess. I think the clear lake cops jurisdiction nearly butts up to the south side of the beltway.
