What's the real story here?

19 year-old girl works at the family deer processing business. Two 17 year-old male "friends" and co-workers go to her house to help her take down Christmas decorations.

At some point one of the boys grabs a shotgun that belongs to a roommate if they girl and points it at the girl and shoots and kills her. Maybe he was joking around and didn't know it was loaded (which is not an excuse in my book)?

That might be why he is charged with manslaughter instead of murder.

Grandfather of the deceased girl says he doesn't want to press charges. That the boy that just killed his grand daughter is a good kid and it will be punishment enough to have to live with that.

If the kid really didn't mean to kill the girl and he was just an idiot kid then I could understand not wanting to press charges. It's not like throwing the book at the kid is going to bring the girl back or teach him any more of a lesson than killing his friend has already taught him. And if was an accident then he's not really a danger to society.

But how absolutely stupid to play with a shotgun like that.

If this is accurate, then there were 571 locations were murders occurred. So minimum 571 murders, not counting multiples.

The numbers are off for sure. This is not just HPD, but also HCSO, a handful for Fort Bend and looking like one in MoCo and one in Brazoria County.

I'm no fan of the crime wave brought to you by Democrats, but I also think Reddit content should be taken with a grain of salt. As is shown by the incorrect data on a "Map of homicides in Houston in 2022." Most of the comments are typical idiotic Redditor dildos.
