Lots of interesting bits to digest. Angry dad, stupid kids, dumb Greg, and smart, funny, and sympathetic Tom. Great start.

Same. Plus consider NYC is in the northeast and LA in the southwest. The days are shorter up north in the winter.

My thinking right now is he'll blow up the Gojo deal just to **** over his kids.
The home used by the Roy kids on tonight’s #Succession was bought for $83 million in 2021 by 26 year old billionaire Austin Russell, who is the founder of self driving car company Luminar. It has 20,000 sq ft, 6 bd, 18 ba and sits on .99 acres. https://t.co/DuVTIWIdyO pic.twitter.com/5TJlHemyBX

Who wants to smell Greg's finger. Hey? Guess the scent, win a buck.
I have a feeling this final season of SUCCESSION is going to be like MAD MEN Season 4 where every episode felt like a possibly world-ending event that paid off every thread, plot, character or thematic, to the most devastating ends possible. jesus that premiere was heartbreaking.

Exactly. It's pre-election in their world, so that means it's still daylight savings, which often ends the weekend just after the election. So, yeah, there are plenty of times then when it's broad daylight here in LA and I'll see a live news or sports feed from New York and it's completely dark there, around those times.
I think this was separate from the Waystar Gojo merger. He wasn't acquiring Pierce for Waystar. The Milkman said:
I found it odd/interesting how he was closing a deal to acquire Pierce, just 2 days before the sale to GoJo. Why? Do we think that the GoJo sale is dependent on that acquisition?
And clearly the kids money depends on the sale of GoJo happening. Wonder if that sets off a chain of events

Where was Nan's house?
The Roy pad was obviously LA.
They flew to Nan's and it was obviously still in a warm environment.
I'm not an expert on Palms, but it looked southern cali rather than northern. I could be wrong and will be wrong again.Willy Wonka said:Is it in Sonoma?Chuck Cunningham said:

Or say it does go through and they control Pierce. No way there isn't a power struggle. Part of me wants to see it succeed in a way that it competes against ATN. Maybe they start poaching members of Logan's team.jackie childs said:
and we finally see the kids all working together, which is a nice moment...but it's clear they still really have no clue what they're doing. hard to imagine the Pierce deal not backfiring on them or at least falling through, right?
When Roman is the voice of reason you know you're ****ed. I like how he tried to convey to them these numbers they were throwing around were astronomically large and they were like "so what." Great line by Logan: "Congratulations on saying the biggest number you ****ing morons."jackie childs said:
so many great scenes already mentioned, but loved that we got another great scene in a diner too. obviously we think we're going to see a nice conversation between Logan and Colin, but really, Logan is not interested in what Colin has to say, only in saying what he wants to.

man, what a great first episode
They were so afraid of getting beat by the old man, they upped their bid $2b based on their paranoia.Prosperdick said:When Roman is the voice of reason you know you're ****ed. Tom wanted to let Shiv know that he may or may not be ****ing her. Just to mess with her. He was so caught up in it he didn't realize what was going ton.Quinn said:
- I can't decide if Tom let Shiv know for love or strategy. Think that it's likely a slip up bc of love, but intentionally unclear.
