Yep. Most of the players wear them but not all. I noticed Pulisic didn't wear one for the Mexico match but McKennie and Reyna did.

those bras are very common. Aggie football players wear them for conditioning work outs. Very common at club soccer now too, at least for the older (U-15 and older) higher level (MLSnext, ECNL) teams at bigger clubs.

The whole tracker thing for soccer players I find interesting. I don't need to see that data to know if player was playing well.

Used to be just during preseason and friendly matches for training purposes. The data is so incredibly valuable for training high level athletes though so it's no surprise that you seem during all matches now

I don't know what the data looks like when it's downloaded; it doesn't track touches obviously, but it tracks total distance and speed to give you an idea of the work rate and with the gps can show a heat map tracking where the player was all over the field relative to their position and what they're being asked to do.

some of the players today that played 120 minutes probably ran over 6 miles at various sprint speeds.

Exactly,

My daughter plays midfield. And when she's on her game she covers the entire field, always on the ball and runs a ton. When she's not it's easy to see she's not covering the same amount of ground. But I guess some like to have the data to back up what they might be telling a player.

I didn't either. Dont think cameras caught it and the announcers didnt mention it that I saw. I was curious about the automatic yellow and looked up the match report after the fact a few days later.
