In EMS, rule of thumb is you don't stop until a physician makes the call, but if you're on transport, 20-30 minutes of ACLS and pt is still asystole (flat-lined), we would stop.

I just watched it back to the 41:30 mark. He is on the screen the entire time from then on. He showed, as far as I can tell, no signs of distress until he stumbled and fell.

Couldn't tell if they had a manual chest compression machine doing compressions. Our FD has used that many times enroute to a hospital.

Right after he fell and they went close up, his eyes were lifeless

I'm still amazed that Muamba survived. He had ACLS intervention for over an hour if I remember
