BTW, the workout only calls for 1 set of 5 on deadlift, not 5 sets of 5 like all the other lifts.

Yeah, I know.

When I first read your post, I thought you said you were missing a rep on squats. Went back, re-read it, corrected my post, but didn't change the line about fifth set.

Something in the soft tissue. X-rays negative. Nothing torn per physical therapist. Just pain and inflammation helped with ice and stretching. Also doing some work with bands. I took about 2 weeks off but now that I know nothing is torn, I'm getting back to it.

Have you tried isolating on your rotator cuff during stretching to see if that helps? A lot of people who have issues with their shoulders because of weightlifting usually end up with rotator cuff injuries.

SACR, yes. That's where the band (Green/Yellow) come in handy for stretching and light exercises.
I did 5x5 yesterday, iced x2, then did lighter work-out plus extra stretching today and it feels good. I just have to protect it and not push too much or increase too fast.

I have te same issues. I substitute incline for flat bench and it helps

Deadlift 275, got every rep with good form.


I don't usually work out early in the morning, but I did today to work out with our football players in morning workouts. I think I may not have gotten to parallel on the last set. I filmed it, but the angle was too bad to tell. One of the coaches in there said I was parallel.

Injuries are very frustrating. Doing PR across the board every workout (and loving it) and now a pinched nerve in neck extending to shoulder. Not even to Session 20.

Not during any exercise I can pinpoint. Finished 17 with no problems. Woke up sore but nothing unusual. Next day was a vastly different story. Maybe hurt it doing something else. Don't know. Bummed I'm on the bench though.

Hang in there. Get better and jump back in. I was pissed on how much I lost after my stomach flu, but about 2 weeks later I was back to or beyond where I was.

I apologize if this was asked and answered earlier in the thread, but how on earth is your BP amount so out of whack compared to all of your other lifts?

Edit - Nevermind, I saw this was addressed on the previous page.

Started this workout today after seeing this thread. My one worry is what I'm going to do in about 6 weeks when I need a spotter.
