Bought one of those champion portable generators two years ago, I've never had to use it. Probably a waste of money, but likely doesn't rank in the top 10 things I pissed away money on in that time.

Can't think of a single fishing trip I've ever been on where I thought "What this boat need is a generator".

What size is it and do you just keep it in the back your truck all the time? The one I have is portable, but I don't see how it could be lifted to transport without the help of a few people

Not big at all. When getting gear together, me and a buddy just toss it in the back of the truck. Even got a handle so you just wheel it around like a suitcase.

Just a couple of cheap Husky light stands I got from lowes or home depot for like 90 bucks awhile back. Nothing special

I will be praying for the Lake Charles and Beaumont areas for the next several days. If you have been through one of these before, you know that it is pretty horrific. I have been through Harvey and also through Claudette (not near as bad as Harvey was), so I feel for the people in the way of this storm.

May the Lord be with them and keep them safe.

Our deer lease is located in Hardin County just 30 miles NW of Beaumont. It'l be interesting to watch the game cams and see things as it goes down.

Our neighbors who live up there just texted me asking if we had a generator at camp they could use if they need it. First of all...You're gonna need it. Secondly...That would be the first thing I procured. Lastly...It's gonna be a LONG haul without it.

I grew up in Hardin County and hope to move back there soon. They already have a team of guys with chainsaws ready to clear the roads once Laura is gone. My mom sent me the list. Each one has a different neighborhood/road that he's in charge of. They're recruiting people to help them out. I think one of the employees at Modica Brothers in Silsbee got it started.

I love that place.
