I was going to respond to your question based on watching the game in a bar on tv. I actually had thought the Knicks just shot lights out, and us taking waaaay too many 3's and not hitting.

But then I looked at the box score; we had the exact same number of field goals, including number of threes. We did take 44 threes to get our 14 though, lol.

Somehow, in the end it was them hitting 4 more free throws, even though they missed a ton. Just a weird box.

Justin jackson played like he was high. The dude missed lay ups all night long.

Hardaway was a chucker who couldn't hit the broadside of a barn.

Was sitting right behind Mavs bench. A couple of observations:

- Hardaway has horrible body language
- Boban seems like the ultimate team guy
- Luka was easily the center of the team's focus, but they were giving KP some love too
- they lock in when Carlisle is talking
- Cuban doesn't annoy the players as much, and a lot of them interact with him on their own volition

Seth played 13 minutes, but did not even attempt a shot. And yet, THJ played really meaningful minutes and took 25 shots. And Courtney Lee started the game and only lasted 4.5 minutes and never checked back into the game???

Frank Ntilikina almost looked like the guy the Mavs had bluffed into trying to draft in 2017

The Knicks couldn't miss from deep (shot 50%). When Knox threw up that buzzer beater from 30 ft and swished it, the entire arena groaned.

It was just one of those games. Hopefully provides a wake-up call to these guys.

Hardaway hitting a few shots early in a game might be the worst thing that could happen to the Mavs. Means instead of taking 10 shots in the game, he'll take 15

Good breakdown video of Luka. I knew he was going to good before he was drafted. I saw that he was good after watching him all last season. But I didn't realize he would already (at age 20) get to this level. I think you could make a very legitimate case that he is already a top 10 NBA player. Makes me wonder just how ****ing good this guy will be when he is age 24 through 30.

Yea and the biggest improvement has been his FT%. It's up to like 84%. Those easy extra buckets are really paying dividends.

Just need to do a good job of surrounding him with talent now.

Tim Hardaway Jr is such a massive suck. What he lacks in defense is completely eclipsed by his lack of any offensive talent. He actively sabotages a team in a way I haven't seen. The fact that the Knicks actually saw him play and still decided to pay him $18m/yr is one of Gods greatest mysteries.

KP is also not pulling his weight.

Will be nice when hardaway and Courtney Lee are both gone,

I kinda wanted them to bring Burke back tho. He provided some nice scoring.

Seems like Dallas has a lot of nights where we can't hit 3s and the other team can't miss them. Perimeter defense seems like a real concern

That was a hard fought game. Boston is tough. Dallas just doesn't appear to have the weapons at this point to spread the floor and defend. Luka is going to get worn out doing this every game.

i cant stand THJ. Trying to think back to our good teams and the guy who shot too much..

can't really think of other jackers from the bench. JET started that way but became the JET along the way, so all good there.

who am i missing? i am not counting starters..

I don't remember if he started or came off the bench, but Antoine Walker was pretty rough. Luckily we only had him for a year or two. He's probably the closest we've had to THJ.

Van Exel could have some wtf moments, but he was generally a blast to watch and played pretty well while he was here.

I knew THJ would be awful when we made the trade. But it was worth it to get KP. I just wish we wouldn't play him as much. I honestly thought that he would be getting very limited minutes. The salary is a sunk cost. I hope the salary is not the reason why we are playing him so much.

When the trade was done, I initially thought Hardaway might thrive in a reduced role. I assumed that his low percentages were a result of being the best guard on a bad team and thus needing to jack up a bunch of bad shots at the end of the shot clock. With a new role as a spot-up shooter, he would be a 38-40% guy from 3.

I was wrong.

I'll just go ahead and say it- this is the worst-looking NBA jersey EVER

I really can't think of one that's worse. That late 90's Rockets jersey is the ****ing Mona Lisa compared to this
