I feel like Cavs completely lose this trade if it happens. I guess Danny is an upgrade for their bench, but I don't think LA is better than Love for their system. And unless Love's contract is super bloated, I don't see how this benefits them.
2018-2019 Gasol won't be able to get more than an inch off the ground.

So essentially Phx trades the #4 pick for Kevin Love? Yea, I'm not buying that for a second.
I think if the above somehow comes together, we are sending a 3rd piece. And Cavs are sending a 2nd. No idea what pieces, but the only winner in that scenario is the Spurs. Which would be awesome, but unrealistic.

Yeah I understand that. But a LA, Green for Love for JJ is just too good for us. We shed a big contract for a guy who may have an attitude issue, we also lose a really good defensive 2 guard so there's that. Cavs shed a contract for a guy who seems to fold against the elite teams in the playoffs. And we get a rookie who multiple teams were trying to trade for earlier today?

Getting Love and losing Jackson is a no brainer. LA is also an upgrade from Love.

Phoenix tried hard for LMA last time around. I think they would get him.
Perhaps LA and someone like Shump to Phoenix, Green to Cavs, Jackson to Spurs who could only be doing this to make room for someone else.
