This is dumb and one of the many things I hate about our society today. In the 70s and 80s, we ***** slapped kids with chores, swats, and other methods of punishment.

Yeah, they pulled a rank prank, but there is no need to charge them with a felony, which even if plead down to a Class A or B, gets stuck with them forever and can affect their futures.

I had a two hour meeting yesterday (and scheduled a call fir next week) on how to deal with atm thefts. It's out of control.

Haha. I am in Scottsdale this weekend and needed to pull some cash and happened to be by a Walgreens and it had a BMO ATM sign. So i pull in and walk towards back of store looking for it. Worker there asks if I need help and I said where is the ATM and she says at the front by the door. I laughed and said, yeah in Houston we cant do that because people drive through and chain up the ATM and drive out. She was amazed. Haha

While not a violent crime my brother had his 2023 GMC 1500 Denali stolen out of his driveway last week. He had it for less than 2 months. He's sort of Heights-adjacent, on Aurora off Main just inside the Loop.

Cops told him that evidently thieves have figured out how to spoof GMC keys so they can just unlock it and start right up. And they can disable OnStar tracking too.

He has driveway cams but they're not connected to lights or an alarm I don't believe and his cams showed it happening about 2:30am. I'm sure his truck was in Mexico by sunrise.
