Interesting that the media is announcing the fact that all these criminals are out on bond for prior offenses. It's almost as though they're acting as investigative journalists and have identified a causal relationship.

Hey, one of those guys had a $100 bond for DWI.

That is 100 times more than the guy a few weeks ago who had a $1 bond for a violent crime!

I'm not totally certain, but I think bond for first offense DWI in Brazos County is $2-3000. $100 is stupid low.

He was my orthodontist in 93-94. I was at boarding school so when I'd come home for adjustments he'd always see me on the weekend. She ended up being my dentist at the time because she practiced out of the same office occasionally. They were both great people. Really a sad deal.

That's sad. I had a lot of friends who grew up there but now it has gotten bad just like most areas on 1960.

FBI announces investigation into Harris County jail system after 32 inmates die

The FBI has opened an investigation into allegations of federal rights violations following the deaths of two inmates at the Harris County Jail in Texas after a request by the sheriff's office.

"These investigations will be fair, thorough, and impartial, and will proceed independently of any state investigations involving incidents at the jail. To preserve the integrity and capabilities of the investigations, no details of the ongoing process will be publicly shared," FBI Houston said in a statement Monday.

"It's appalling that you would have 32 detainees (die) in the Harris County Jail in a 14-month period," Crump said during the press conference. "I mean, nobody would really believe it unless you have these bodies that showed you it was really happening."

According to the county records, 21 inmates died in custody in 2021, and according to attorneys, last year, at least 28 inmates lost their lives in Harris County Jail.

The press release continues that the total number of deaths in 2023 is "at least four."

I know nothing about the qualifications of the DFPS or CPS leadership, but I think the quality of the boots on the ground workers are like any other state agency: there are some real creeps who want to suck the government tit and basically achieve untouchable status. There was the CPS lady who was fired awhile back for suggesting a black female minor prostitute herself in order to have money for food.

Looks like the grifting pedo bribed some CPS case workers to be able to rape his wards.

Exactly. I have heard stories of respectable married couples not being able to adopt because the hubs had a DWI or a couple petty misdemeanors in his past.
