I feel like Baby Yoda is going to end up going to Snoke.

Everyone knows its 50 years old, but we haven't really been given any reason to think that it's mentally advanced past its physical appearance (other than like I said, it's use of the force.)

Shouldn't baby Yoda go to Luke's academy?
Although people are going to be really mad at Kylo if that's the case....
While I agree with you, it's interesting that we said the exact same thing about Luke.Quote:
maybe it doesn't but I would wonder why isn't a powerful force user that is good not joining the biggest fight in the galaxy?
Personally I disagree. I only care about this baby yoda in the context of what The Mandalorian will decide to do with it. The show is about him.bobinator said:
Pretty sure it's already shown that it could help out in a meaningful way.
I actually think this is a potentially troubling issue for the show. The show is called The Mandalorian, but by introducing a force-using character of Yoda's species, our main character takes a back seat to a character that can't even talk in discussions of how this show fits into the larger landscape.
Like, if he passes this baby off to someone else at some point, the stakes of this show are going to seem to take a huge hit.
The way I see it baby Yoda is a good way to introduce the character and build him up in something that is familiar to the general Star Wars fan base.bobinator said:

I'm not saying it has to, I'm saying that by using the baby yoda character it now seems like it should. You'd think if they wanted this show to be more of a stand alone, they could have used literally almost anything else instead of a baby yoda.
But now a lot of the questions being talked about the show are about baby yoda instead of the Mandalorian.
I guess I don't see the problem. Why is it bad for the show to be connected to the universe at large? Where was it written this show would only stay within the bounds of itself, as you said.bobinator said:
Well it's not necessarily a problem unless they make it a problem.
That's kind of what I'm saying with this one. Had "the asset" been anything other than a baby yoda, this show would basically exist only in the world it's created so far. Sure, it's set in a bigger picture we understand, but the adventures of the Mandalorian aren't really impacting that bigger picture.
But by introducing not only a mysterious baby yoda, but also showing that baby yoda is a force user, it now ties this story into our larger picture and raises questions that impact that larger picture. Where did baby yoda come from? Is he related to Yoda? Will he grow up to join the resistance? There are so few force users out there now, that any of them seem potentially very important.
If they wanted this show to just stay within the bounds of this show, it seems like they could have picked a different character.
I honestly see this going one of two ways:Hagen95 said:
Why is everyone wanting to make the bounty hunter a good guy? Maybe he just turns in the bounty and gets his beskar steel to build his armor out of, with his wallet that says Bad Mother ****er on it.
