I cannot stop listening to the soundtrack for the last few episodes. The blending and shifting of musical styles just has me hooked. Going from kind of the old western feel, to grander, more symphonic feel, to a modern, driving bass and drum beat within a few minutes is just so intriguing and fun to me. "The Arrival" from near the end of episode 7 is just a fun song for me to listen to.

It's possible that he makes it just fine, even at 100 years old he might only be the equivalent of a 10 year human and that would take him past the timeline of ROS. May just be chilling and lying low somewhere.

I finally got watched episode 8 and had to catch up on 130 posts. The humor was great, but more Marvelish than what Lucas gave us in episode IV. (He was funny, but lost his humor along the way.)

Thought IG-11 was great and very well done CGI. Never thought it looked fake or wasn't really "there."

Unfortunately, I thought the funniest line was "There is the lava river." Which reminds me, is everyone in Star Wars impervious to heat?

I loved that episode. What a great surprise it was when the dark saber showed up. That might be the best thing to come out of the clone wars, other than Ahsoka.

Not only are they all impervious to heat, they can all survive spaceship crashes.

The only "problem" I had with that, and it wasn't really a problem because I enjoyed the episodes, is that there aren't enough episodes in a season to spend much time without advancing the main plot along. Most episodic television shows have seasons that run 20+ episodes, Mandalorian only had 8. I wish we had another couple episodes with Moff Gideon, for example.

Well, after the finale, it's even more apparent that those couple of "filler" episodes, were just that. You can remove them from the season and lose pretty much nothing.

In fact, if you remove episodes 5 and 6 entirely, you could watch the rest of the season as a movie, and it would work great.

That said, they're not bad episodes. And as I mentioned at the time, I loved episode 6.
