We've had a couple preliminary threads on this show over the past year or so, but with the official debut of the pilot now less than two weeks away - and the release of a cool new featurette this past weekend (embedded below) - I figured it was time to get an official show thread going. Word is the first two episodes are outstanding (apparently that's all HBO has let critics see so far), and we know that the show's creators have a five-season arc planned, should it be successful enough to last that long. HBO needs a Game of Thrones successor - something to take over as their flagship series come 2018/2019 - and they're hoping this is it. Time will tell, but for now, all I know is that I can't wait for October 2nd...

It's Jurassic Park, but with robots in an Old West theme park instead of dinosaurs in a zoo.

Watch the featurette I posted in the OP. It's not a Matrix situation. Think Jurassic Park for adults, except instead of dinosaurs it's A.I. life-like "human" robots. A theme park where adults can go to basically have orgies with and "kill" the robots in a wild west setting. And just like the dinosaurs in JP began to wreak havoc, the robots start to become aware of their situation and fight back.

To put that in perspective.....this was just seven months after Abrams was confirmed as the director of Episode VII.
