Club form will matter, but how they played with the national team does as well.
In addition to their skillset, aka Pepi is a much better at the press

That's a pretty good group and no big surprises. Pefok/Pepi is really the only thing to potentially quibble about.
Good to see both Vines and Scally in camp (probably necessitated by Jedi's injury). Cannon gives some versatility if Berhalter opts to go with a back 3.

Team cohesion is a component as well. Pepi and Ferreira have played together as an attacking combo. They have the FCD connection, which is littered throughout this roster from top to bottom.
Pefok hasn't really played with any of these players ever, with the exception of just a small few camps early in the WCQ phase. Methinks that is a huge factor in this roster since it's very late in the process before the final roster is set.

I guess there are probably multiple ways of interpreting Gregg's comments but for me, it sounds like he's effectively giving Pepi a final chance to work his way into stronger consideration.
Pepi has of course made a big contribution to the national team during qualifying but he hasn't scored a goal for any club in nearly a year...and that was a MLS club. He hasn't even played a 90 minute game since MLS. And it's not like he's exactly been tearing it up for the national team recently. His poor spell in the Bundesliga seemed to bleed over into some very meh performances for the national team recently.
If Pepi shows well during the upcoming games and actually starts performing/playing for Groningen, then he'll likely make it a tough decision for Gregg especially if Pefok keeps playing well in the Bundesliga. But if you had to choose today, I don't see how you choose Pepi over Pefok. Yes national team performances obviously count but form, club results, and big game experience count too and Pefok is currently better in all 3.

I get that thinking. But if USA is up 1 goal against a top opponent id much rather bring on Tim Ream who has experience in a 5 man back line and playing against the best dribbles than some fast athletic cb who will run out of position or dive in wrecklessly on a challenge.
My thought being, if you have to start your 4th CB your team is already in trouble and it won't matter if that is Ream or not.

I don't disagree, but he has almost always performed poorly under Ggg.
Also don't disagree but wanted to comment how amazing it is that Ream is still playing at a high enough level to be captaining an EPL team but also not making a WC squad.

I was so hoping the leaks and player hints were just an elaborate ruse. Instead this trash is real. God awful.
I was hoping that seeing them on bodies would make me like them more. Home honestly isn't horrible, but still just mediocre at best.
The away shirt doesn't look quite as awful on its own merit, but it seems like none of the blues match across the shorts/socks, so overall it looks like complete trash. Needed white or red shorts there I think.

Yeah, they've known they were going to get trashed for them for months and still have the hubris to tell us that they're awesome and we just don't understand their designs.
I wouldn't hate them if they weren't PSGs practice gear.
