the team that won the nations league final vs Mex in June 2021 and then the Gold cup final vs Mex in July or August 2021, two different squads really, and the core of the team that took us through WC qualifiers where there were only a few really bad performances, should no doubt be able to get out of this group and into the knockout stages. ...but the squad that played in those friendlies vs Japan and Saudi in Sept of this year looked bad - like they won't get a point from Wales and might struggle to get a point vs Iran. I'm excited to see what these guys can do.

If he wins it he should definitely resign because it is absolutely all downhill from there.

It's fairly common even for winning coaches to move on relatively soon if not immediately after.

Same. I wouldnt have been upset if he was on the roster, but Pepi being left off is the one that Im upset about

We'll see I guess, I have hope that Gregg is considering adjusting our tactics a bit.

I don't have a massive problem with his omission but I do think his omission in September was egregious. He was likely never going to be seriously considered after missing September.

And I think that's fundamentally a larger problem. Because if you surprise everyone with right based mostly on his good recent form in Turkey but you don't bring in Pefok a month earlier in spite of his good form in Germany, then I'm not sure what incentive Pefok (or anyone) has for making themselves available if their on the outside looking in.

what kind of form is Pepi in right now? I haven't been following closely.. minutes, starts, goals? I've never been really impressed with Ferreira, personally.
