I have a co-worker who was in cancun at the Iberostar and has now been evacuated to a large shelter that looks like a gym with over 100 sun tanning chairs used as beds.

Got word this morning they're doing fine. Been raining like a SOB but winds never got that bad. Power blinked out for a while.

Prayers for those in SW Louisiana - they have been hit hard. I'm driving from Houston to NC on Sunday - via either I-10 or I-20. Hoping for everyone affected that this thing reduces intensity and moves out quickly.
