At the end of it all, I will love this show for giving me the Jawa greatness that occurred in episode 2.

Enjoyed the episode. Not what I was expecting after the first 3 episodes but still really like the show.
I really enjoy the show. I do think we need to get some more development in the overall story with the kid moving forward with only a few episodes left in the season. I don't mind the serial adventures, but would prefer some more main story movement.
I feel like we are going to return to the small planet with Cara Dune and the village though.

On their first encounter with the Droid guards Bill Burr's blaster shots bounce right off them but later he drops three of them easily. What was the difference?

I did think it was funny that the 3 X-Wing pilots were Dave Filoni, Deborah Chow, & Rick Famuyiwa. 3 of the directors.
Also, The Republic soldier on the ship was Matt Lanter aka Anakin Skywalker from TCW/Rebels.

He needs to put a lock on his gun cabinet.
I thought he had killed them all, also, but perhaps he felt being held as a prisoner was worse for them than killing them would be. All that is true except being alive is better than being dead.
I think that's the point. The whole time, you think Mando wasted all of them. But keeping them alive shows how much he's changed since the first episode. Subtle, but effective,
My only complaint was that Natalie Tena was channeling Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad. On the plus side, Natalie Tena has now entered the pantheon of all-time greats when it comes to good looking actresses in sci-fi/fantasy roles as she has appeared in Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones.
If you're a fan of the old PS2 Jango Fett game like me, it was a thrill to see Clancy Brown cast as the muscled Devaronian. CB was the voice of Montross, Jango's Mandalorian rival for the bounty on Komari Vosa - one of the best video games ever for SW when you are looking purely at the plot.
There's even a great outtake where CB expresses frustration with George Lucas for not making the prequels right after the OT because given his age at the time he believes he would have been "right there" for the role of Anakin.

He's already out of the guild. I think those of you that are looking for more than a episodic adventure with a slow developing serialized plot line, this is not the show for you.
Uh I'm pretty sure the flashback where battle droids are turning his city and presumably his parents into swiss cheese with their laser cannons is the reason he does't like droids.bearamedic99 said:

I am totally okay with this. I'm tired of everything tieing into everything else and being the precursor to something else and whatever. I'm not gonna go buy a book or a comic to get caught up on something. I'm not gonna go watch Rebels or Clone Wars beyond a couple clips here and there until my kids are old enough to watch it, and someone shouldn't have to watch this before something else to make it make sense.
Show me Mando blow the hell out of some stuff, lemme see Baby Yoda be cute for a few seconds to ease the tension and then play that music and roll those awesome credit paintings that remind me of the art from old Atari 2600 cartridges, see you next Friday.

Casting was strong for the episode.
Good episode. I don't mind the single "crime fighter" episodes. It keeps shows from getting too complex or unrealistic.

That was awesome television.
The part where Mando was tracking them down and BY was evading the droid was straight out of the action/horror genre, except the roles were flipped.
The scene where Mando comes at Bill Burr's character with the strobe effect was nails.

I liked that episode a lot better than last week's. If it's not going to tie into a larger story then let's at least have a fun story.
That said, I still think it's kind of bizarre that we don't seem to have any kind of big picture plan.
I stand by my earlier thought, I think I'd like this show a lot better currently if it wasn't a baby yoda but a baby anything else.

I loved the end where baby yoda was tying to force stop the droid from shooting and the it turns out that Mando shot the droid.
Awesome episode.
