Looks fun!

Officially my second most anticipated movie for 2018, behind Infinity War

I'm going to really try to keep an open mind on this one and enjoy the movie, and I'm still really excited to see it; but Alden Ehrenreich doesn't feel like Han Solo to me. To me, he's not even close to sounding or looking like Harrison Ford from back then, especially with his adolescent-sounding voice. Sure, I know that it is damn near impossible to replicate what Ford did for the character in the originals, but I feel like, judging from the trailer, they might have missed on this one. I'll wait to see the movie though before jumping to any further conclusions.

Note the ummm female British accent....... where have we heard that before in SW universe??

Only a couple including early bad accent Leia and .......... Rey.

Hmmmmm.

Han knows this Qi'ra played by Emilia Clark.
And seems to know or surmise who Rey is.


Perhaps it's pronounced key-ray????

I mean come on..... you think young Han ain't hitting that?????

The exterior of it looked brand-new at the end of the trailer. I didn't even see a dish of any kind on it.

I guess all those "special modifications" he made himself over the years kinda junked it out.

It is kinda funny that the initial production name for Rey was "Kira".

Believe me, I've been worried about this movie since it was announced, but -- am I the only one who doesn't have a problem with how he looks? I'm more worried about him not "feeling" like Han, but in the looks department, I think he looks plenty like Han Solo.

Yep, this is my biggest concern.

I agree regarding his look not being as important. But based on the trailer, he didn't feel like Han Solo to me. This is ultimately why I didn't think this movie was a great idea. It would be dang near impossible to replicate Harrison Ford at age 30.

I'm sure I'll get over it. You are correct. How he "feels" like Han will make or break the movie for me

that is a great scene and actually a great movie if you want to see Aiden Ehrenreich's range.....

This is partly why am enthused about him playing Han... I know he won't look or sound exactly right but that's impossible and I think I would hate an outright impression as well.... but you have to nail the Han demeanor.

And in Hail Caesar Aiden plays a very complicated role. He is a young hollywood actor who is very very good at the singing cowboy swashbuckling white hat hero role.... but then is thrust into a uppity hollywood stuffy drama. So from an acting point o view he has to play the fish out of water. One of the things I know about acting is that playing a bad actor and making it seem natural is one of the hardest things to do. and he is absolute gold looking very uncomfortable and insecure and downright awkward whereas he was confident and radiant as the cowboy. And then he really has a third role as himself a very timid and nerdy kind of kid who is trying to make his way in hollywood and intimidated by the leading ladies he is paired with.

Anyway based on al of that he seems quite like a chameleon to me. I do think he can get the attitude and the swashbuckling type sarcastic wise-cracking hero part down.

We'll see.

my favorite part of that is when they premiere the actual film when it shows that part, he sits down and says in reply "It's complicated" instead. lol.

Looking at the Lego box art, it looks like the Falcon has a more "squished" down antenna dish on it. Akin to the rectangular one in TFA that replaced the one lost in ROTJ, maybe the more familiar one is a replacement as well.

thought the same thing.

Kind of along the lines of Luke telling us 'it's not going to end the way we think' in The Last Jedi trailer.

This is your mistake. You're being dense by trying to have an opinion about a character based on a trailer.
